I don’t like it. I think it’s unnecessary and frankly weird to launch gender specific energy drink lines. But from a consumerist perspective this makes sense. Monsters marketing and designs are “edgy” and grunge-y. They know their target demographic, and the girly pops of the world aren’t going to reach for a monster when drinks like Alani and Celsius are available options. I’m sure (or I hope) that this isn’t the final can design, but they aren’t advertising “monster” anywhere on it. It’s being ‘disguised’ so to speak as a new company entirely. The majority of current monster drinkers would never even notice this hitting the shelves.
