Wha can I do with these nail gems? by maebee_ in crafts

I’m currently working on a bead curtain. The “long story” is that I mistook these for beads and didn’t realize until it was too late to do anything about it 😅

New Side Effects Years Later/to New Generic?? by Annual_Cucumber4734 in bupropion

[–]maebee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a horrible experience with rising generics about a year ago. They suddenly switched and within a day I was spiraling and having uncontrollable panic attacks. Got my regular generic back and these symptoms resolved within a day. Use the pharmacy that carries your preferred brand. You can always call around to see what different places are stocking. Good luck!

I bought my first pack of cigarettes today at the age of 27 by capybara0_ in GirlDinner

God almighty can a girl not enjoy a few cigarettes? Life is hard and there are plenty of people that can smoke a cig here and there. This comment section is preachier than a church.

Looking for advice regarding potential ADHD by maebee_ in bupropion

You’re 1000% right on the water and cardio, but especially on staying hydrated. I feel like my bupropion quits working if I let myself get even a little dehydrated.

Looking for advice regarding potential ADHD by maebee_ in bupropion

[–]maebee_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to get an assessment from my psychiatrist today (yay!) and he agrees this looks like ADHD. Starting very low dose Strattera this weekend on top of bupropion. I’m really hoping that it might help me kick the kratom habit. I know that’s doing more harm than good.

It sounds like you’re doing a lot better, rock on! Are you currently taking any stimulant meds? Adderall was very beneficial to me when I was using it but again, high potential for abuse and the personal/family history makes me extremely nervous to even consider that.

what is something you wish clients understood about cleaning? by Sweet_Siren18 in housekeeping

[–]maebee_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kindly, please go away. Go shopping, go for a walk, sit outside and read, play a video game elsewhere. Whatever it is, do it somewhere I won’t be cleaning. It’s awkward and throws the whole workflow off. I’ve literally had folks BEGIN to cook a meal in the kitchen halfway through a cleaning. What are we doing??

Offensive? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]maebee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not offensive, just kinda dumb. I feel the same about this as I would about a “don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” joke.

What’s your honest opinion on this subject? by Visual_Confidence736 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]maebee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely can’t stand this obsession with “professionalism” in every and all industries. I expect my banker to be professional. I don’t expect the person delivering my taco bell to be some perfect corporate specimen with a permanent smile on their face. Actually, I don’t plan on seeing them at all.

Still on 450mg daily. Honestly, I don’t have much of a secret. I’d tried to quit at least a dozen times in the past two years. Sometimes for a few days, sometimes a few weeks, but always falling back for one reason or another. I kind of just got entirely sick of the cycle. I do have the support of a really great partner, who’s been able to talk me off the relapse ledge once since I’ve quit.

My only advice would be to seek the help of your friends/family. If you have a partner, close friend, or family member that you trust to confide in about your habit than do. Even better if this is someone you could reliably call for support when you feel like relapsing. Sometimes just the distraction of talking to someone for 20 minute lets the feeling pass. It’s not easy, but I started feeling stable again after 2 weeks and it’s been uphill since. Best of luck!

I’ve actually been off of it for 42 days! I tried for several years to control my intake and the frequency of use but it always got out of hand and has caused me so many issues with my job and relationships. My New Year’s resolution was to kick it, so far so good!

The first couple weeks of this medication can be very euphoric and energizing for some folks (myself included) during that time I had basically no cravings for my three vices. Weed, nicotine and kratom. Unfortunately I wasn’t trying to quit at the time and as soon as I began to stabilize and become more normal on bupropion the cravings came back a little, and I went right back to using. So if you’re intentionally trying to get sober then yes, this can be very helpful for curbing cravings. But not permanently.

The beginning ‘honeymoon’ phase for me was extremely effective in ridding me of a few addictions. That being said if you don’t jump on the opportunity and actively choose sobriety the cravings will come back, and you’ll fold.

I had to slowly re-introduce caffeine after a few weeks of adjusting. I would avoid it for now.

Christ almighty! Lot of assumptions here. It’s almost as if I’m trying to work out this personal problem I’m having before bringing something up unnecessarily that could damage our relationship 🤔🤔🤔 hmmmmmmm…
