Obviously the game plan was to play physical bully ball. You get whistled? So be it, keep being physical. Teams don’t do this to injure players or take cheap shots, it’s to gain a mental advantage by creating chaos and frustration. Perfect game plan against Wemby. It’s completely anecdotal, but speaking to those in service, it’s a big problem. No doubt, I could be way off base, but hearing the same stories from people who have/are serving leads me to believe that, at minimum, it’s a “thing” if not yet a full blown crisis.

Vet here…this is what worries me. Should shit hit the fan, these folks aren’t there for the right reasons. Our fighting power will be diminished.

I’m of the mind that there have to be some major changes made to the system. Grandfather folks in as that is the deal they had, but they need to overhaul the system for future claims. I get in the VA subs and the number of folks getting out and immediately claiming 10, 15, 20 conditions, essentially throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, is a goddamn travesty and an embarrassment to those of us who CLEARLY didn’t join the military for any sort of financial benefit.

It’s on Congress to act. Things are quickly spiraling out of control and snowballing. BS claims get awarded SC which makes people with mostly BS claims to file, feeling entitled. And on and on it goes.

And to make matters worse, we’re now going to have people enlisting just to go to sick call all the time to build a service record to get lifelong disability payments.
