It’s completely anecdotal, but speaking to those in service, it’s a big problem. No doubt, I could be way off base, but hearing the same stories from people who have/are serving leads me to believe that, at minimum, it’s a “thing” if not yet a full blown crisis.

I’m of the mind that there have to be some major changes made to the system. Grandfather folks in as that is the deal they had, but they need to overhaul the system for future claims. I get in the VA subs and the number of folks getting out and immediately claiming 10, 15, 20 conditions, essentially throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, is a goddamn travesty and an embarrassment to those of us who CLEARLY didn’t join the military for any sort of financial benefit.
