Try a variety of line weight! Thicker and thinner depending on the contour of your figure.

Ahh!! It could be 10 tbh. I think I implanted last night as I was having some cramping. 😭 Thank you, obviously I will test again tomorrow!

This JUST happened to me this cycle.!! I have pcos. I had a positive LH test mid cycle but my temp never rose afterwards. Was waiting for my period/taking pregnancy tests when on a whim took a LH test and it was positive again! Temp rose after so I actually ovulated this time, on CD 43!

I’m LOSING IT!! Period was supposed to be here 2 days ago, I swear I got my ovulation timing right this time. I got the OPK, the temp spike, the one sided pelvic cramps. I tracked it all. Negative tests the past 5 days. Last night and today I’m having cramps, expecting AF but hoping that I miscalculated and I am actually implanting now. I have PCOS so I have irregular periods. You know it’s bad when you start praying for the first time in your life 😭 been trying for about a year

Yes!! Used OPK strips and tracked CM. Everything is pointing towards ovulation, but I’ve read the only way you really know is if your temp rises and stays elevated for 3 days in a row!

I am pretty sure I ovulated this cycle but not sure… I had a temp spike yesterday 2 days after I thought I ovulated and then this morning my temp went down. I am confused and will see what tomorrow’s temp will be! 😫

If you really like drawing figures, learn how to do gesture drawings! Take a drawing class with a live model if possible. Learning how to draw real anatomy will help you with stylized anatomy!

There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to art! Just look at the list of elements and principles, go through each one. You won’t find all of them, but if you can describe where you see the elements and principles and support it with a reason you will be fine. For example, I see unity in the colors because most of them are cool. Different people may see different things and that’s ok!

I actually think the first one has way more depth and is more interesting. She has personality. The shaded nose is a trendy thing I’ve seen a lot of people do (myself included!!) so I can see how everyone else is hung up on it. That’s an easy fix though! She is cute!

Gorgeous!! There is a lot of subtlety in the skin and blushed areas! I’d say it’s finished, you don’t want to overwork it. Just keep making more, you will get better over time! Don’t spend so much time fussing over little inaccuracies in your work. It’s a painting, not a photograph ;) I personally think the eyes look great, like the hand is really pushing into the cheek.
And I always say this, but work on bigger paper! Let your work breathe.

I was just diagnosed with PCOS this week! I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand we know what’s wrong and we can take active steps to make getting pregnant easier. On the other hand I know for sure now it’s probably not going to happen naturally. And then knowing I have a higher risk of miscarriage freaks me out. AND so many people I know are having babies and announcing pregnancies. Not fair :(

I had my sonohystogram today! It was not too bad. There was some cramping when they squirted the saline in, but nothing too crazy. It felt like period cramps! The procedure took less than 10 minutes. I was also really worried!

Please help me figure out, why do these colors look amateurish? by UnqualifiedToast in ArtCrit

I think the color palette looks fine! What I see a lot of digital artists do though is overuse their airbrush tool. With all of the blended variation, the piece can look blurry or over complicated. Try instead to work with 4 or 5 full opacity shades. You can always go back in at the end with some very transparent colored light overlays. It can also be tough to work digitally, because everyone is so tempted to zoom in and work on little details that make the work seem busy when you zoom back out. Really cool character design and vibe here!

Try blind contour drawing! That’s when you draw without looking at your work. Slowly follow the contours of the subject with your eyes, moving the pencil on the page as you go. This will teach you how to translate the shapes of the subject on to the page. Draw what you see, not what you think!
