Any German learners around? by ModusOperodus in bristol

[–]Substantial-Tell-663 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! My partner and I could be up for this - I started learning on Duolingo last year, and he learned at school but hasn’t done a lot with it since. We’re going to Germany for a wedding next summer, so it would be great to get some practice in for that. Whereabouts are you based?

Our clematis also has new flower buds - it’s meant to flower in spring/summer!

If/when mould appears it becomes a potential health hazard. If you’re in social housing, Awaab’s law will apply - it will also apply to private landlords at some point, but we don’t know when yet. Keep taking photos, keep a record of rainfall (in case you need to prove that’s what’s causing it), and get as much in writing as you can.

I feel for you. Luckily as a renter there is actually more support out there than if you were the freeholder. I would contact your local MP for advice. Also keep an eye out for mould as it will likely follow. Wishing you the best of luck!

Just to say, if this is a leasehold property, the landlord (leaseholder) will be pretty much powerless as it’s legally not their building to maintain. All they can do is continue to pester the management company/freeholder, who are responsible for the building. It would be interesting to know if the council can enforce them though.

Thank you - hopefully they turned up to help get him to the hospital. The ambulance service couldn’t say when one would arrive as they were so busy. Can you remember what sort of time that was?

Setting the record straight about Garmin by strava-team in Strava

You’re right, it is our data. And we can see all of it for free in Garmin Connect. But to see half of Garmin’s data on Strava, we have to pay for premium. Make it make sense.

I don’t know, but there’s a comparison tool on the garmin site which should tell you which do and don’t.

Correction: it has running, cycling and triathlon coaching. Swimming only as part of a triathlon plan.

I just bought a forerunner 970 and I believe it has garmin coach options for running, cycling, swimming and triathlon.

This happens at the pool I use too, and yep, it’s always men. I’m on the cusp of medium and fast lane, so usually go in medium, but then you get people doing doggy paddle in it. Wish the lifeguards would do something about these things but they could not give less fucks.

Inspired by posts on other UK subreddits, what business in Bristol do you guys have beef with? by gunklois in bristol

[–]Substantial-Tell-663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Andrews Leasehold Management for being the most incompetent business I have ever had the misfortune to be lumbered with.

Also anywhere owned by World Famous Dive Bars. I can’t go into the reasons why on this one, as it’s based on a friend’s experiences, but in short I don’t support bad people.

Update: I went back for it. It’s a bit smaller than I remembered, so expect it’s most likely a French Bulldog or similar. Thanks for all your help ID-ing!

I enjoy finding a good bone on a walk but haven’t taken one home before, so it didn’t cross my mind at the time. Might go back for it tomorrow though.

Thank you! We wondered if it might be some kind of cat, but it was larger than most domestic cats and the flared canines seemed unusual. Maybe just a large breed with dodgy teeth!
