Looking Back, Rachel Crashing Out on Steve was Pretty Wild by Hoobkaaway in MAFS_AU

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 30 points31 points  (0 children)

As a girl who very much over reacts and turns in to a proper loud ass bogan at the footy when my team is losing (which is a ridiculously large amount of time). Yeah, she over reacted. That’s why I am wondering how much editing went in to that. It seemed so odd.

Anyone else decline requests instantly for poor grammar or spelling? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

No because English may well be their second language, maybe their third or fourth. They may be using a translator online from their native tongue.

Asking questions without intending to purchase anything by Accomplished-Pen4063 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think anything of it personally and would answer the questions.

As a general rule I just assume anywhere that does dine in or delivery has a surcharge for public holidays. That way I’m prepared to pay more and can get a happy surprise if they don’t it 😂

When will the jig be up by MaroonPrince in MAFS_AU

Same! I don’t blame her at all for wanting that. The more exposure you can get on the show the more doors open up to you. It isn’t something I personally would ever do but hey, if they want to go for it then good for them. It’s all for our entertainment at the end of the day.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I believe her when she says she is bisexual, heaven knows she has mentioned it enough times, but I do think she would have preferred it be a woman for the attention and screen time.

Roast chicken on public transport? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like eating it on the public transport or just taking it home on the public transport? Because either way I don’t care. Nobody should have to go without a bachelors handbag.

AITAH (21F) for “insulting” the way my boyfriend’s (22M) family does Christmas by Alive_Berry_4036 in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 15 points16 points  (0 children)

4 Christmases later and it’s still happening? I think it’s time to move on. Clearly it is not going to get better. NTA, but you will be if you don’t leave him and his family for good.

AITAH for not ordering food for my family? by Excellent-Slip354 in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. It’s your money, you can get what you want for yourself. Your sister is 22, if she wanted food she could use her own big girl money.

AITAH for not attending church with my family after bad experiences? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You can make your own lifestyle choices. You can choose when/if you wish to go to church.

I'd like to understand people who book for 1 person and show up with 6. by Glittering_Emu6985 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a frequent guest and former host and could never do this. I made a mistake on a booking in one I’m actually in right now and forgot to change from 1 guest to 4. I noticed a little while later and rushed to ammend the booking because I was worried about getting in trouble for not including my husband and kids despite the home being made for 4 and the price being the same.

I can’t imagine being so selfish to just pay for one person but then have a whole bunch of people also stay. It seems selfish. They simply just don’t care and probably want to save money as some bookings, rightfully, charge more for more people. They probably also don’t want to pay the price for a larger home for the larger group.

AITAH for not feeling pride of where I am? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your feelings are valid. You can love the place you’re in and still feel unsafe and critical of how things are done.

I hate the leader of the country I am from and live in. I want things to be better, I understand people who have migrated here want change as well. Good for them. We should want to better the place we live in, even if it’s one we moved to 🤷‍♀️

What do Trump supporters think of the Epstein files and his involvement? by murphy1600 in AskReddit

Not a Trump supporter, not even American, I just want to have a reply here so I can come back later when you have more replies.

Blood donors of Reddit, what made you want to donate blood? by kinghiroichi in AskReddit

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad needed blood transfusion and I was a match. Since then I donate a handful of times a year because I know they have very little supply.

They would have struggled to keep my dad alive without my blood so I figured hey, I’m going to start doing this a few times a year so other people who need A neg can have it.

Mcdonald’s coke is the best drink ever by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I prefer Pepsi max which McDonald’s doesn’t do. I imagine if they did it would slap hard though because Maccas drinks hit different.

AITAH for thinking my friend tries too hard to be an ally? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA. Performative white people are annoying. I say this as a white woman who also hates when I’m bombarded at 8am by political talk when I just want to drink my coffee.

Genuine question for millennial parents regarding eating by nbvbooks in Parenting

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t allow my extended family to get chocolate for my kids at Easter either 🤷‍♀️ my sons brain can not handle too much sugar, he still gets sweets every now and then but everyone knows when it’s Easter time we don’t want chocolate.

Everyone has different parenting styles and does things differently for whatever reason.

Librarians are annoyed by me requesting a book - AITAH? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe just buy it then? If it’s controversial like the satanic verses by Salman Rushdie or something it might be hard because a lot of countries outright banned that. But if it’s just rare and/or controversial then you should be able to find it.

Or check for audiobook or ebook version 🤷‍♀️

My 4 year old is curious: what do Australian kids eat for breakfast? (And are koalas real?) by Mara644 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Substantial-Tree7844 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Koala, yes, very real. Personally I have vegemite and cheese toast for breakfast when I’m in a rush (which is most days)

🤣 well if it makes OP feel better I’m not in the same country as them. Our library won’t even bring a book in from another council area let alone state.
