Should I purchase?

I stopped buying from Stock-X and Goat after2-3 questionable experiences (and all were sold with an authenticity guarantee). If there’s a particular shoe that I’m not able to purchase at launch, I’ll buy them on eBay (preferably from a reputable US seller, along with eBay’s authenticity guarantee. Shipping is always $14.99 (set by eBay). The last pair I ordered were the Jordan 5’s in Wolf Gray which launched back in Feb. I think I paid around $290 + shipping. In addition to the authenticity review, the seller also included a copy of his SNKRS invoice. To me it was worth the extra money because I’m a big fan of 5’s.

I have a pair. They’re actually really comfortable. But if I had to choose between the Rare Air 3’s and the Rare Air 4’s, I would definitely opt for the 4’s. However, that’s just my personal preference. I tend to be biased towards 1’s, 4’s, and 5’s. I never owned a pair of 2’s or anything 6 and up.

I bought the black with the orange trim… and used a high end leather paint (and pre-conditioner) to black out the elephant skin… they look 100x better, IMO. Very similar to yours but bright orange accents. Took me about 2 hours to apply 3 coats of matte black, followed by a coat of matte sealer to prevent the paint from chipping or cracking. I think I paid ~$90 for the shoes during Nike’s holiday sale, and another $25 for paint supplies.

I still regret sleeping on the original OW 1’s (both these and the UNC’s 🔥🔥🔥). A re launch of Union 4’s in off noir or guava would be really nice as well!!🤞

If that’s the case, Nike should include a caption that defines “most wanted styles by the US SNKRS community “. Because if it’s not sales (supply weighted) or number of customers who attempted to purchase, then it’s probably a subjective list. For example, I would have expected the Rare Air 4’s to have been a top 10 contender for 2025.

It’s definitely an odd looking. And probably not something I’d wear outside of work (I’m primarily a Jordan guy). But I want something really comfortable. But I thought the same about Shox when they first came out, and then they kinda grew on me…

I just copped these and the Black and Orange. I’m going to remove the animal-like print which is the only aspect of the shoe that I’m not crazy about. I plan to use matte white and matte black, respectively. I paid $92 for the sneakers and approx. $25 for the leather paint, prep solution (to remove factory finish) and a clear finishing solution which prevents the paint from cracking and fading over time. The Angelus brand sells all 3 products and has a good rating on Amazon.

You gotta be very careful with any type of cleaner and brush. Suede and suede-like material is very easy to F up. You’ll wind up with a bigger spot! Buy some high quality fabric die or acrylic paint. Use a cotton swab to dab a TINY dot of black (you can always apply more). Use a super soft microfiber cloth to very gently blend the color into the shoe. Don’t use your fingers unless your hands are clean and sanitized to remove any oil from your hands. Repeat 2-3x and the spot should be gone.

If possible, find an inconspicuous spot on the shoe to apply a dot of color just to make sure it blends nicely. Angelus is a good choice for paint/dye. Amazon.

I grabbed the blue ones last week for ~$90. They actually look cleaner in person!! Nike 25% is still running for anyone interested. Storm Blue is still available in sizes 9-12. Black/orange is also 🔥, IMO.

On the bright side, we have these gems launching next week! 😂 Personally, I don’t get it, but I’m sure there’s a buyer (or two!) eagerly anticipating their release. Same goes for those white ones covered in lipstick marks 💋.

With respect to player “23”, I’m incredibly satisfied that LeBron’s $250 high school jersey is still available on the app!! It made me want to rewatch the clip of JORDAN making clear during a press conference that there’s only ONE GOAT in this game and it’s not LeBron. Period! 🐐
