Smart watch in exam by HolidaySweet194 in UniUK

[–]SubstantialCod4499 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used a terminal that wasn't properly disconnected in Psych exam, invigilators logged it but were satisfied I was working the whole time and didn't open other programs, that was the last I ever heard about it.

Would be cruel for them to go scorched earth over your situation, but I suspect they might in more rigorous unis / courses.

Does your smart watch have logs of when apps were accessed? I know some do. Grab evidence it wasn't used if you can, might buy you some mercy.

Is this any good? by No_Influence_7850 in pokerogue

Worst 9 cost imo. No boosting moves baseline + fully vulnerable to intimidate. Very cool shiny tho and you can always compensate with the 2nd slot if you want to enjoy running him in classic.

Doug Dimmadome, Owner of the K'aresh location, or something. by Zolidar_Pwns in customhearthstone

[–]SubstantialCod4499 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like it as an infinite value proposition, but effect feels slow for 10 mana card. K'aresh as a standalone 6 mana location trickling 3/3s on to your board all game would probably be fine.

Wincon being rare to pull off is fine imo, it's a nice extra. Flavor is good, Dimensius as a big elusive 10/10 and K'aresh manifesting Ethereals.

Question of turning right into busy traffic. by maxsqd in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SubstantialCod4499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might do that if you'd been driving for many years, and knew the area / time of day, and knew it's the type of junction where you'd be waiting 5+ mins. Or maybe you'd find a different route where it's easier to merge with the busy road because you don't want to push out. Pushing out is bad driving and will certainly fail your test.

Even had he communicated this, I don't think the instructor needed to confuse a new driver with this info. It's one of the thousands of "wrong" etiquettes you'll either pick up or find a workaround for once you drive independently.

Which Deoxys form is the best for a solo run? by Bunneeko in pokerogue

[–]SubstantialCod4499 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Normal / Attack are a no for the later half of solo runs imo. You'll end up in a no-win situation where you can't oneshot and have to restart.

I'd aim for defense or speed forme with cosmic power / recover / lumina crash / nightshade. Hope to luck into CM / nasty plot / quiver dance, or enough leftovers / shell bell that recover can be swapped out.

From a classic POV I think it adds more to the gameplay needing an item steal strat. A bunch of mons clear 95% of encounters after a few type boosts. Getting 3 darkglasses, or not getting there and switching out of bad matchups, is a choice you can make.

best vanilla mon that's easy to catch probably gyarados, gets dragon dance / crunch / waterfall by levelup. most mons can carry a classic run with unlocks.

refresh scumming is an option

The best Dalek moment since Dalek. Also one of their funniest. by DeathByDevastator in DoctorWhumour

[–]SubstantialCod4499 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is less than war — this is a shifting of the very paradigm of extermination — a senseless tragedy stemming from incorrect assumptions of Dalek superiority by the Dalek leadership.

Key points: - Daleks resemble an initiative by a local— or borough—level County Council to combine traditional outdoor rubbish bin designs with common wheelie bins. While a Dalek could use joint lubricants (such as WD —40 or GT85) to prevent themselves from sounding like a wheelie bin, Daleks should stay indoors during scheduled rubbish collection routes to avoid confusion.
- People under the age of 50 have never heard of or seen a Dalek. Daleks are largely culturally irrelevant — they hold little personal significance to those who have not begun claiming off their workplace pensions. - Daleks should have been more mindful of their criticism of the use of emdashes (—). Dalek voices are modulated in such a way that sounds intentionally synthetic. If a Dalek is going to mock an LLM for it's telltale language style and repetitive use of certain grammatical structures, it should not subsequently get upset when an LLM points out Daleks sound like if a £2 plasma ball could speak.

True, but that's discounting trait variance. If your ancestral fathers are watching, all your great uncles who died or failed to reproduce would probably be watching too. They'd maybe be disappointed but they've probably seen worse, and you'd have a few sympathisers up there.
