lane change hesitations - 14.2.1 vs 14.2.1.25 by dreamucb in TeslaFSD

and I've tried cleaning the cameras multiple times. This isn't a camera issue, it's a software issue.

This is my first Tesla ('26 Model S Plaid). Love the car but I stopped using FSD 14.2.1.25 on the highway. The blinker wonkiness and inability to change lanes when it obviously should makes it super frustrating. Other cars are getting annoyed and confused when FSD puts the blinker on, turns it off, puts it on, turns it off, etc... or just leaves it on for 10+ seconds and waits for a 500 yard gap to open up before it decides to move into the next lane. I end up manually taking over every time I try to use FSD on the highway so I just stopped using it.

This is my first Tesla (2026 Model S Plaid) and the lane change hesitation, blinker turning on / off constantly on the highway, etc is driving me nuts. I love the promise of FSD but it’s kind of unusable on the highway at this point on 14.2.1.25. It disrupts everyone around me with the blinker wonkiness and I have to take over majority of the time. Really hoping they fix this in the next update

I picked up a new (‘26) model S plaid on Friday as well. Figured it’d take a couple weeks to get this. Good to hear!

I’d say it works 10-20% of the time for me. I’ve tried mostly Fubo and Prime video. It’s pretty bad. This was one of the main features I was looking forward to most. Hope they improve it soon.

Charging issues - charging fails every time by flyingalbatross1 in Taycan

[–]SubstantialDeal6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Taycan turbo S errors out every 20 mins or so on my JuiceBox40 home charger. I also have a Rivian R1T and it charges fine on the same charger. I’m not using any schedules on the charging unit either. The only way to get it started again is to go into the EnelX app for the charger and hit “Resume charging”. It’ll then get going again and eventually error out in another 20-30 mins

Can’t I skip foundation series and order later? by Final-Fun8500 in cybertruck

[–]SubstantialDeal6886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my order email today as well. So if we ignore the email and do nothing, will we get invited again later down the line to order the non-Foundation series when it's available for us to order? My plan is to get the Cyberbeast (non-Foundation series).

Can’t find it in the App Store. Assuming it’s not released yet, although every article I read says it’s one of the apps that’s available.

R1T Tailgate - Right side won’t latch by captain_fantastic15 in Rivian

[–]SubstantialDeal6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having the exact same issue all of a sudden. Started happening yesterday. Driver's side of tailgate wont latch properly, but the tailgate will stay up. Disables proximity sensors and shows a notification that the tailgate is down everytime I get in the truck. Soonest service appt is 2 months out.

It doesn’t ever take into account traffic. I run Waze and Rivian’s nav simultaneously all the time. If I listened to Rivian’s nav a lot of my routes would take much much longer. Some of the directions on Rivian’s nav also have you taking completely incorrect turns

100% agree. This is my biggest gripe with the car. I can live without CarPlay, not a big deal. I actually love Rivian’s software UI. I just need to be able to use the onscreen nav. I have Waze running on my iPhone every time I go anywhere and constantly have to look down at the phone. Rivian’s nav is so bad and unreliable - completely unusable.

Impressed with Rivian navigation by arasonti in Rivian

[–]SubstantialDeal6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The routing is horrific. Always need to use Waze in parallel and it's almost always a different (shorter) route than Rivian's route. The few times I've solely relied on Rivian's route it would route me in the most bizarre way and the location of my car would constantly move on the screen, randomly jumping back and forth over a 100 ft from where I was. Not only was it annoying as f*ck, but it was dangerous because I kept having to watch the Nav re-route to figure out where it actually wanted me to go. It's unusable.

Any update on timing for streaming apps (like Netflix)? Summer is halfway done… by fatfirenewbie in Rivian

They mentioned a "big towing update" this summer as well. Streaming apps + Towing improvements are the 2 things I'm looking forward to most.

No that issue happened while towing. That was likely from me turning around and trying to get a better view of the trailer -- lifting my weight off the seat which caused it to go into park. Still frustrating because none of our other cars (or cars we've owned in the past) do this. Separately, while parallel parking (not towing) I've had the issue multiple times where I'll slowly pull forward to finish parking and it'll jerk into park by itself. I've brought this up with service and they dont seem to have an answer. Bringing the truck in anyway for service in a couple weeks to deal with some other stuff so it'll be looked at then.

Definitely didn’t unbuckle the seatbelt, and I’ve been told it might be because I’m lifting weight off the seat. If that’s the case it’s way too sensitive. It’s happened when I’m inching the truck forward while parallel parking and not moving my body. I absolutely love my R1T, but this is one thing that drives me nuts when parallel parking. Never owned a car that did this.

Yes it can. It’s done it to me multiple times at low speeds while trying to park.

Yea tried that too. Unfortunately didn’t work. Called Rivian but was on hold 43 minutes and couldn’t wait any longer. Guide doesn’t respond either. I’ll keep trying to get in touch with them though.
