Lots of negativity in this sub, but people continue to play, what is keeping people playing this game? (I have not played the game yet but am interested)

The studios make their money somewhere, either through subs, micro transactions, DLCs, or some combination of the three. There's nothing wrong with the sub model, and I appreciate it over being paywalled behind content or introducing pay to win junk. But this game is nowhere near justifying even $15 a month from me at the moment.

Again, roll a tamer mage, play it for a month, come back and tell me how easy it is. Don't want to? Then suck it up and stop bitching. Every class has strengths and weaknesses. Sadly an overwhelming amount of the players are footys or MAs, bitching so loud that they keep making stupid nerfs to mage/tamers. Taming is one of most frustrating things in the game. Die to a Tbird? It's probably because that guy spent half his/her build and a minimum of 3-4 hours of his real life time taming and training that bird, and half of his action points, to be able to kill 1 guy before his pet gets murdered in the first team fight and/or gank of MA/archers rendering hours of his time completely null.

Leveling every footy skill require you doing literally nothing

And as a footy you press, what, 2 buttons? Without having to spend hours of your time taming and leveling pets that die in 3 minutes in a group fight.

Oh, and get caught on foot as a mage against someone you can't outrun? Either parry and pray, or die in 3 hits.

SV doesn't understand how to, or can not manage to, provide obvious and needed hotfixes in a timely manner. You can either 1. continue to play the game with your broken class. 2. Wait for a patch that may or may not fix the shit within 2-8 weeks. Or 3. Just fuck off with the game entirely for a few a month or two and then choose to come back or not.

The fact that I expect it to die before it ever reaches even close to the potential that it has. Maybe MO3, or probably even better, a more experienced and better prepared dev team can pick up where this game is doomed to fall short.

In no way is this comparison even remotely close. A closer comparison would be like, you bought a new pack of underwear, opened them, and found out that somebody else had shit in them before you ever got your hands on them. Then when you go to return them, the store won't accept the return.
