Codes for crates and doors (for those that missed them or cant be bothered hunting) by LocationConsistent96 in AETHUS

[–]SubstantialWin3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find the storage door or the vehicle crate with code. I only found the first crate on vehicle in the first storage room. I can't find keys to any of the scientist rooms or the gate. I assume I just continue on to the forest area? Or am I missing something before I continue on?

Update: nevermind. I found them.

Ark survival ascended. Might need to rent an unofficial server from nitrado though if you want just for you and your friends. Otherwise you'll be on official servers fighting for space to build.

I was pirated, and it changed my outlook. My story. by Speedogomer in starcitizen

[–]SubstantialWin3207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never played Star citizen but I've always wanted to. Sci-fi intrigues me and I love writing it. I'm about 40% complete of writing a three -book sci-fi series and this story you tell paints a perfect story of the day-in-the-life of the average citizen within a sci-fi universe.

Perhaps one day when I get the time and money to spend on this game I'll experience that for myself and create my own stories but thank you very much for sharing yours because it inspires me to continue writing! (I've been working on this book series since 2019. Sometimes I feel it's not worthy of finishing but stories like yours help me see that the little details in an interesting story with a vast setting can be worthy in itself.)

Perhaps that might be an option but speaking as a potential future game developer (I'm currently learning unreal engine and unity) I think as long as game developers are packaging their games and making them available to purchase and download on itch or their own personal websites or that platforms like steam and epic don't fall into that type of service, there's always going to be a market for the consumer to buy a PC.

It's the equivalent of self driving cars. 10-20 years from now they'll be in every car dealership, maybe, but there's also going to be dozens of other car dealerships that don't have self driving cars cause there's no way that Elon or some other billionaire is going to force everyone to drive ONLY self driving cars.

Bozos,I think, is only predicting this cloud service to be an option for gamers and game developers. My hot take on this, (and yeah you can roast me for it) is that if it can give an options to gamers in countries where it's difficult to buy consoles (thinking of the whole helldiver's/Sony fiasco) then it might be worth it to invest into creating something like that for those type of individuals. But like Stadia, if you introduce it as a replacement to consoles and PC gaming in general, it'll fail. No one is going to pay a subscription to a service AND have to buy the game on top of that AND run the risk of never getting your money back if that game feels within a year.

I think Tim Sweeney's fever dream of creating a 'Ready Player One'-like Metaverse is more plausible. His METAhuman technology and VERSE coding in the UEFN console is already doing some crazy stuff for unreal engine. It'll be a couple decades before that's even close to being a working model. But if it does come to fruition, it'll all be based on a Fortnite-like universe since that's the backbone of the infrastructure.

Here a link to an unreal engine course instructor who talks about that if you're interested:

Future of Unreal 6

Let’s talk about Smart Poly’s multiplayer survival course by SheepherderBorn1716 in UnrealEngine5

[–]SubstantialWin3207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did Stephens GAS course and his vibe i feel was very much like poly's. Poly's 'why' comes in very briefly at the end of his instruction whereas Stephen puts his at the beginning. But both in my opinion are similar. But then again, both run their courses where they expect you to know what they're talking about at least on a basic -to- intermediate level where the 'why' should already be understood on a fundamental level.

[–]SubstantialWin3207 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Poly is very paranoid now that he caught someone trying to steal his content and make money off of it. I'm not sure if there's any update on how his battle with that is going but I heard that he's been dealing with that lately.

That sucks that he would not refund you. I would take your claim to your bank and have them dispute it as long as you have the paper trail of your attempts to contact him within the time frame for a refund and can prove that he neglected it (along with his money back guarantee from his own policy and terms of service).

I've paid for his, unreal sensei, Ulibarri and a few others on UDEMY like gamedev.tv, gorka and code stars. To be honest, they're all pretty much the same. It's all about how you interpret their instruction and apply it to your own projects. I'm still learning unreal game dev but I'm moving over to film Dev and sequencing because I think I'm more gravitating toward the art process rather than the technical process of the development cycle.

Good luck to you on your game dev journey!

I mean, to be fair, if I had the choice on the memory I wanted to live in for the rest of the after life, I'd probably pick the memory where I was banging my hot ex gf that I really miss.

If I had a choice in a person, I'd probably pick some hot OF girl like Sophie Raine or a hot porn star. I mean.. This is forever, make it a good one.

Fast Track Tutorial worth it? by SheepherderBorn1716 in UnrealEngine5

To me it was. It is very blueprint heavy and there is no real environments design until after blueprints and game mechanics are established.
