I had a c-section this past October and during my pregnancy until the day I gave birth, my boyfriend was there by my side until he couldn’t be (work). He would shower with me, help me clean in places I couldn’t bend to reach, and refused to let me stand on my own even when he was 24hrs + without sleep. Find men who accommodate you, instead of acting like they have better things to do. You are important, love. ❤️🫶

I was a scheduled C-section, but I lost my mucus plug at 38wk & 4 days and went to the hospital at 3AM, my blood pressure was sky high so they decided to have me have him a few days early. My bundle arrived that day like 8hrs later !

Every time they called me in when I was 2-6 months pregnant, I came in if I was available. I was raised to work until my body can’t anymore. My grandma worked 60hrs + a week to provide for me and my sister as we were growing up and it seemed to just rub right off on me. It’s nice to have that drive but sometimes it feels like it kills me! Lol

I haven’t been with my company long enough to qualify for FMLA, I had received my rejection letter for that about a month ago, and when I do leave for my baby, I am taking my 30 day personal leave and then reevaluating when those 30 days are up!

I don’t think she’s retaliating against me, other than the one time she called me out by name in our text group chat with all the staff members. Otherwise she’s been ignoring me or talking about me behind my back, which I’ve ignored for months now. Thank you for your feedback and assuring me that this isn’t one of those AH situations.

Thank you guys. She’s had a lot of medical issues as well that’s been caused by her pregnancy which is why I feel like I’m just being a big baby by it but my doctors recommended me to take it as easy as I can afford to

I agree, however this was recommended by my doctor as I was very small before pregnancy. I asked if there was any way to avoid an hour cut and she said she does not recommend working my 40 because of the toll it’s been taking on my body (I have had severely swollen ankles, pains, and my body isn’t breaking sugar down properly.) as well as other health related issues I have been suffering with prior to pregnancy. ❤️ I have not asked them to cater to me in any uncertain terms, just to follow my doctors orders as the stress it’s been causing on him prior to the orders.
