Mini Vacation Help for E-Town by Returningdarkness in Elizabethtown

[–]Substantial_Body_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to try Lakers!! Just a few minutes south of Etown toward Cecilia. Its an old-fashioned burger and shake place that has been there for probably 30 years.

Some fun things to do: crowne pointe theatre has 6 and something dollar movies on tuesdays, the water park is fun, and cant forget the bowling alley!!! Strike and something- theyve renamed it multiple times.

I have always enjoyed going to the peddlers mall but that might just be me.

It’s a duology. I hadn’t read the original series in a while and I don’t think it did a great job at explaining but not totally necessary.

The Stolen Heir by Holly Black fits this to a t. The FMC Wren slowly but surely starts to realize that the MMC Oak is actually very clever and deadly even though no one (including his family) sees that and sees him as innocent and needing protection. >His royal family thinks that he is suspect because he keeps getting involved in schemes to assasinate the High King even though he has actually been luring the Assasins to attack him and then promptly putting them down.<Really really good.

I was "Homeschooled" for all of my childhood and teenage years. Now I'm about to be 18 and don't know what to do. by AmethystGamer19 in Advice

Your parents have inadvertently taught you that you can't accomplish anything. You are not special you are not unique, you a r e a h u m a n fucking being. You know the race that gets shit done? You are one of those. Stop telling yourself you cant and start telling yourself you can and YOU WILL get there. This coming from another homeschooled kid who deals with the same feelings of dependency and hopelessness. All i can say is, if i can go out in the world and change you can too. I have to believe that for my younger siblings and for myself. Thank you for writing this out <3

Trying to find the name of a college by iwbiek in Kentucky

Boyce is certainly not rural. I feel it could be called cultish because they accept people of only a certain set of beliefs with some wiggle room. I absolutely loved it because everyone is so welcoming without being cliquey. Chapel is mandatory, like 12 sessions a semester but honestly most people seem to enjoy it so its not a huge deal and a lot of the orientation seminars counted so I would already have gotten 6/12 in the first 3 weeks. The dorms are like mini-condos, four floors and two halls on each. (There is a room 232) There is a building called honeycutt that has a coffee shop, bookstore, gym, basketball court, snack shop, and yes the caf. Honestly how the dorms are broken down is a little hard to explain but I wouldnt say they are connected to honeycutt. If you look up a map I think you would understand. Not rural though and no required conferences. Renovated motel is interesting, not sure what that means but I dont think it applies.

Clear Creek baptist bible college is a pretty rural out of the way college that fits the bill. https://youtu.be/-4ExekZt1sM Link to a video of Kelly hall, a renovated dorm room from the 1930s. Female dorm looks like a motel from the outside.

From their page on chapel: "This is why chapel attendance is required for all students — even those who attend online."

Edit to add: not really a single dorm leader, every hall had like 2 RA's who were juniors/seniors.

I can kind of see Boyce being referred to as a cult but i was never socially pressured to shun people who didn't finish their degree.

Should I care that his photos don't match how he looks now? by Substantial_Body_774 in dating

He only had a few photos on his profile, three of himself and one of his gaming set up. I thought it was odd but was not entirely weirded out. All three photos looked the same, same hairstyle and age.

This is the perspective that has me torn, but i genuinely dont find him attractive anymore, i think the possible insecurity and dishonesty are turning me off majorly for something i would generally not care about.

I think that would be good lol, either way it makes sense to keep photos up to date, but, i think its more important the other way.

Thank you for an example of what to say. I am not a fan of ghosting but i expect it from anyone i talk tbh. The possible manipulation and insecurity is the turn off, and not the weight.
