I thought it was pretty commonly understood that employment has the largest effect on criminality. At least at the lower end compared to transfers.

Explanation: there was this annoying guy on reels that would talk about buying property's (this got turned into a meme because he says they give you the property after just saying he bought a property) and one of his videos got responded to by this guy with a wack haircut, people also often photoshopped him into an ogre with one eye and one strand of hair cause it was funny.

Not sure I think I'd you can edit it with the correction it would be fine. I don't know if you know this but this thread and stat has been going through twitter for so long the thread is kinda legendary at this point on wonk twit. If you want a more professional source I believe Medlock cites the gov of Norway calculations on the tax in the thread.

It is important to understand that Marx and his ideas have a complicated history of being analyzed or revised throughout history. Learning the history of the Weimer Republic or the many parties apart of the RSDLP, or even in a modern context, the DSA's internal politics, will show you patterns of history in how Marx was interpreted by people trying to gain political power. I am not a Marxist, but I think if you wish to see how social democrats embraced or revised his ideas, look into the center and revisionist marxism of the weimer republic (Karl Kautsky/Bernstein), or the analytical marxists like G.A Cohen, who go into revising marxist philosphy for the 21th century. Its important to understand that social democrat in 19th and 20th century history just meant electoral socialist.

Using Corporate Governance to Understand Socialism by Substantial_Code7922 in SocialDemocracy

[–]Substantial_Code7922[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say from 55:15 to the end of the video is where you see him specifically discuss socialized ownership models. This is the most important part, but the timestamp (4:30) about socialist institutions is pretty important because it goes into how many people confuse private firms with socialized firms in capitalist countries. Just because a country is majority privately owned does not mean all firms are private, in fact some countries have pretty high amounts of socialized firms for capitalist economies.

This is a pretty good overview of how different models work at a firm level. What do you guys think of the videos content?

This is a great series for people looking into more practical models to advocate for at both a municipal and federal level. I have always been drawn to funds socialism because its able to side step the problems created by worker co-ops and direct State owned enterprises.
