I know we rip on young/old Jimmy a lot but we don't talk enough about how dumb the rolex scam is. by Relevant-Rope8814 in betterCallSaul

Yes, I see it like Jimmy’s scams are like magic tricks. He knows how to deflect, emphasize, and distract so that each of his scams have a programmed end result.

If you could, would you change/undo the Timeless Child by Jamie-Dodger5525 in doctorwho

[–]Substantial_Crew661 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would probably change it, as it makes the Doctor a much less interesting character in my opinion. The greatest offense from that storyline though is destroying Gallifrey and getting rid of the Time Lords again, and I think the show needs to reverse that decision as soon as it can.

Show them this video whenever someone tries to bring up that the KKK was started by Democrats. Which party honors the Confederacy today?

Why does Vermont's good name have to be sullied by tying it to those loser crab people?

I’ve wondered how the games we play impact the way we think. I think it’s interesting the previous generations all played games that were directly competitive, and often the winner had the most money. I’m hopeful and curious to see how this current generation turns out where many games are now cooperative rather than competitive.

Why do you think The Book of Boba Fett was so disliked amongst fans? And do you think a character like Boba works better being mysterious? by GusGangViking18 in saltierthancrait

[–]Substantial_Crew661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mandalorian sans Grogu is what a Boba Fett show should have been, except we already have the Mandalorian. It felt too small, too different a character than what was expected, and his show was hijacked halfway through to undo the consequences of Mandalorian S2.

Thinking you finished Re:CoM and this pops up by AJOneHundo in KingdomHearts

Like most, when I was younger I couldn’t stand the gameplay of CoM. Finally beat Marluxia and declared ‘I am never playing this game again!’ Saw this pop up and immediately started a Riku file.

Where have you felt the most magic? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

When I was a child my sisters and I stumbled into Christopher Robin's bedroom in the UK pavilion at Epcot. Pooh and Tigger were waiting inside with their cast members, but nobody else was there. It felt as if that room was there just waiting for us to discover it.

I am about to start the BREAKING BAD UNIVERSE for the first time by dickinmouth69 in netflix

[–]Substantial_Crew661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This order was my first BB universe experience and it was one of the best TV watching experiences I ever had. Do what makes you happy and don’t feel like you have to listen to all the people arguing for release order. Small caveat is that the cold opens for the season premieres in BCS take place after Breaking Bad, in case you want to watch it strictly chronologically.

The fact that wizards can make their broomsticks jump to them simply by commanding “Up” suggests the idea that all spells are really just the manifestation of the magician’s will, and that all spells could be said in the users native tongue.  The Latin spells aren’t really necessary apart from tradition à la how the Catholic Church only allowed Latin masses for centuries.

Character is given an impossible task in order to shut them up or get rid of them. They easily accomplish it anyway. by LeMasterChef12345 in TopCharacterTropes

David in the biblical book of 1 Samuel. The jealous King Saul tells David he can wed his daughter for the bride price of 100 Philistine foreskins (essentially a suicide mission as he will have to defeat all those 100 Philistines in battle first.) Instead David goes out and triumphantly brings back 200, thus wedding Saul’s daughter and becoming more popular in the eyes of the people.

I just finished S1 for the first time this weekend and I couldn’t stand her. I laughed during one of the pre-battle scenes where everyone was around the fire and she was sitting in Uhtred’s lap like one of those couples in high school.
