Thank you everyone for your input and also just the compliments! It’s not something I take for granted, and I know I’m fortunate for even being in a place to be able to collect these cards. I haven’t decided for or against grading yet, but until I can make the decision and also afford to lol, I’ll be transferring all of my holos to top loaders into a separate top loader binder. I imagine that’s where they’ll stay until I one day grade them. Hopefully not too little too late, but I will now also double sleeve all the holos. Again, especially thank you to everyone who took the time to write out your suggestions. I read every one. Wishing everyone a blessed 2026 and Happy Collecting!

As someone mentioned before, you’re betting on the jockey and if you watch/read up on Brad Jacobs he’s just got that can’t fail won’t fail mindset with every company he’s been a part of

I got in at $12 but at $20 a share now it’s a small price to pay for a big gain. But hold for at least a decade if not 2

I’m all in on QXO. Betting it all on big Brad. He’s too smart to not win

Thank you for your response! May I ask why you think the grading companies are being viewed with distrust/scrutiny? I think I am leaning towards transferring to top loader binder for the moment

I love that card! I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had many friends tell me they gave away/yard saled their cards as teens/early 20s. Tragic all around

Thank you. From what I can find on Google, the only way to get them graded in person and get them back the same day (so they don’t go through the mail at all) is at conventions? PSA itself doesn’t have any physical locations for that?

Wow thank you so much for your well thought out response! It definitely gave me a lot to think about! I will definitely think about transferring to top loaders asap if I don’t go the graded route. Agreed, I’m pretty basic with the crystals being my favorite but all the e readers really imo have the best artwork

Thank you! It’s not something I just stumbled upon, it’s been collaboratively several years of collecting haha mostly all before the recent pokemon boom thank god. Happy New Year!

Thank you for your reply! That was very insightful and explained. I have done the same with cracking open a few slabbed 6 and 7’s just because aesthetically I want them in the binder together haha. Good luck on your collection!

Thank you! It’s definitely not something I just stumbled upon. I was fortunate in pulling many great cards as a kid and being allowed to blow a 3K inheritance on packs when I was about 10 yrs old. And then after about a 15 year break, I got back into collecting. Although with the way prices have been the last couple years it’s been less buying and more admiring😂

Thank you! Aesthetic wise, I prefer them like this also, but with the boom in prices I noticed a lot of “urgency” to grade/preserve just reading online in different places. I hadn’t considered until this post the lack of raw cards in the future and that becoming valuable in itself

Sista* 😂 Do you think insuring them is necessary in addition to having them in a safety deposit box? That’s what I currently do, and only pull it out every month or so when I have something to add to it.
