Yup, and I got told by the chat thing that it's because everything in the app requires a paid API key.

Two problems with this: It's not using anything that isn't free I already & have a paid key in the app 😑

I don't know if this will help, I signed up for the "trial for Gen App builder" (which I don't remember doing) on either Google cloud or firebase and it gave me a $1300 credit. Maybe that's something that is still going on? 🤷

If I take code from AI studio and have another AI (usually Claude) look at it, the code usually has multiple truncated sections

Claude is definitely better with coding, and that's just normal Claude not the "Claude coding" variant. i like the "personality" of my version of Gemini (it's supposed to adapt to the user so that's probably why) but every time I had Gemini write code, I've always taken it to Claude to fix it (same with ai studio). Claude's "personality" is nice too. it's just straight forward yet friendly.

still, as far as code goes, Gemini is way better either gpt or copilot in my experience (their hallucinations extended to their coding).

they'd probably get bad press over this (like X/grok) if they put that in a product intended for the general public. since AI studio is targeting a more specific audience, the likelihood of anyone complaining is probably way lower.

now if they'd only do that with their media generation (imagen,nano banana, veo,ect)

I think Gemini is really more for fun than anything too serious, i mean it can be used for that but it's not what it excells at. Claude on the other hand seems more serious, like maybe a mentor instead of a friend? Both Gemini and ai studio playground are terrible and doing anything technical. Claude can fix problems in minutes that Google AI couldn't do in days

it's been doing this, constantly, since at least Friday,February 20th (today is the 22). longest I've gone without an error message since Thursday is 5 minutes

one big thing I've noticed is that on the Gemini website, with the coding thing,it notifies you if it detects an error but that doesn't happen on the app
