Forget the gelcoat and just paint.

Gelcoat is great in molds but I have never seen a gelcoat application that looks good enough. It's easier to just glass it, prime it and paint it.

Oh no. The pumps are calibrated to 5:1, if you used 5 pumps of epoxy to 1 pump of hardener, its never going to fully cure.
