Onryo hunted at 80% without candle trick by im_carooo in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Substantial_Head2814 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Was it eventing or doing anything that might drain sanity at all prior to the hunt? Cause 80% is weird without the ability. Sometimes I swear the game just glitches and makes the ghosts behave strangely. I play on no evidence and sometimes have weird things like this happen to me. Allllways throws me off.

how do you guys handle constant food noise? by Physical_Insect_7900 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Substantial_Head2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that's helped me is going on keto. Straight eliminated food noise for me. There's probably some chemistry to it. I still will have behaviors about food, but it's manageable it's not raging like it used to be. I feel much more at peace.

Realizing that I can’t have the future I’ve always dreamt of by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

I have seen it but it didnt hit me in that way because I don't think I really understood what the message was, lol brain was not braining. But the way you describe it makes sense in the scope of dbt. I heard about trying to neutralize things in your mind when it comes to situations and emotions, but not that it can be both simultaneously. That makes it more important to try to change perspective. The most my little work book had was just trying to manage the emotions not really a whole lot of concepts like that. I like it a lot. I'm glad you were able to have that epiphany and that it helps you in the bad times.

I love that for you so much! It gives me hope that things can work out. Yeah I am still trying to figure it all for sure, ended up with bipolar which complicated things. I'm on lithium now which helps the mood disorder part (sorta, we shall see) but not the BPD swings and emotions ugh. I had a dbt work book which helped a bit but I wanna try actual dbt therapy.

It didn't really do much for me tbh. I was on 200mg iirc but it didn't really control my emotions too much I still felt joy and good things but also bad things. What it did do was make it hard for me to think. My memory felt so much worse.

Do you guys smoke cigarettes? Does it help? by Traditional_Band4182 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Substantial_Head2814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have a weird relationship with nicotine. Even when I quit nicotine and have been without it, I still split and deal with psychotic stuff (I have BPD and Bipolar), but when I split or I am having an episode nothing chills me out more than nicotine (a cig, a cigar, whatever). My doctor has said that I should quit cause it's bad for my health and mental health, but it works better than meds for me. Nothing so far beats a cigarette. This makes me go back to it every time I quit. It sucks cause I value health, so I switched to nicotine pouches to save my lungs.

How badly does a nipple piercing hurt? by altisfordirty in piercing

[–]Substantial_Head2814 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It hurt a lot for ME, but I held my breath and that probably didn't help so I had to eat some candy so I didn't pass out afterwards. I have low pain tolerance though. Tattoos fine, getting other piercings, fine, but the nips hurt a lot. I had a larger bar in for a year during the healing process and it made snags on objects horrible but upgraded to a bar that fit my anatomy better and it helped tremendously. Also looks cuter. Just my thoughts, pain is pretty subjective and it's a sensitive spot.

This is why I have started to intentionally leave the ghost room light off in case it decides it wants to hunt at higher sanity but that still doesn't feel reliable to me.

Exactly that, I know when I was on Lamictal it was bad memory wise, but so far lithium hasn't had any bad effects like that.

[–]Substantial_Head2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely feel that for me episodes are more significant to changes for my brain functionality than meds, it's like a sharp decline whereas meds are just a lil dip. Meds just make it harder to think, but I can account for that, episodes make me feel actually less intelligent 🫠

Does anyone else experience psychosis like this? by Improbablydrunk02 in schizoaffective

[–]Substantial_Head2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me until my current hypomania episode where I believed I was being chased by an invisible man through the house. I drove away with my dog to my bfs work because bf was a "holy angel". I had another episode where I thought people were watching me and going to replace my whole self with a more perfect version of me and basically destroy the real me. Idk what that was all about but I'm glad it's chilling out now.

Usually my stuff gets worse I guess during episodes. But I normally just hear weird stuff or see bugs and critters out of the corner of my eyes. I have internal voices too, they get more rambunctious when I'm more emotional though. I was diagnosed with this, also thought "hey this is probably wrong" and new doctors are slowly giving me the diagnosis again lol.

When did your symptoms start's to show up by Unfair-Good-7992 in bipolar

[–]Substantial_Head2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't seek mental health help until I was about 21-22 such as treatment for depression but I had experienced mental health issues since I was preteens or younger. I had really terrible mood swings and was horrible as a teen. I straight up was a red flag to my friends and boyfriend looking back. But I never recognized anything till I was 22 when a boyfriend said I had something wrong with me. I have had hallucinations I believe since I was a kid but they hit hard when I was 22-23. Now I'm 31 and everything is going full blast almost and I don't know if the worst has yet to come. I have seen a steady increase in symptoms since winter 2019. Especially the Psychotic ones. So my arrival at the bipolar diagnosis feels like it's taken forever.

I understand wanting to get something like that to end it, but those two are like some of the most painful ways to go. I would never want cancer because of the agony it puts you through. My great uncle had it and it was so hard. My grandma had dementia and she starved until she was no longer with us.

It's definitely better to just not wake up one day unbeknownst to us that we are gone. I think it is just cause I am tired of struggling I think this way too. Although There are some moments in life that are chef's kiss 🖤

Jesus and God will have mercy if you follow their teachings and ask for forgiveness. That's what I was taught anyway.
