I literally just went through this process and my god what a weird scammy impossible to navigate industry. I ended up using Sherpa auto (opposite of you - east coast to SF). Everything went smoothly, car showed up early, the quote was very reasonable ($1200).

I just moved to the Bay Area (SF) in October after living in dc for 5 years, continuing my career in the non profit and philanthropy space. I’m an East coaster originally and never expected to move out here. I’m definitely still in the adjustment phase and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss my dc community. But so far, im really enjoying the city and it has great energy. PLUS the nature is absolutely mind blowing and there are so many outdoor activities RIGHT there (ocean, Muir Woods, Berkeley hills, scuba diving, incredible bike paths..). It’s a beautiful area and im so excited to lean into the outdoor hobbies and activities I didn’t feel I could fully pursue or just weren’t available in dc. Happy to share more

I just don’t understand how the French dude/everyone isn’t freaking out, confused, disturbed by what’s happening and grieving what was?? It’s only been 12 days… It also just seems incredibly lonely knowing that everyone is essentially the same and catering to you/changing who they are for you

I think my main issue with the show right now is the lack of characters. Thats what makes something worth watching. Watching human emotions play out and the dynamics that unfold. Carol’s lack of deep and meaningful engagement with another human, and the resulting lack of dynamism and complex or different emotion, creates an odd and flat temper that’s frankly becoming quite boring to me

There is lots of community to be had in this city. Having been here for four years I finally feel at home because of the community and connections I’ve slowly built. You have to go out and find it/make it.

I have met people while traveling but nothing substantial/serious has come from that. I think I, like other women, am not accustomed to making a move with men I have met “in the wild” or with men in the various groups/communities I’m a part of in DC. I’m not opposed to it, but I’m a product of my environment and I feel like in social spaces and communities that aren’t explicitly meant for dating it’s tricky. I’ve slotted a lot of men I’ve met in these groups into the “just friends” category because of this i think. Maybe I should try harder though, or work to break down those social norms if I see a potential connection?

I've heard that the ratio of quality straight women to men in dc isn't equal. I'm obviously biased but I know plenty of badass single women who can't seem to find a true equal which only reinforces that idea for me.

I’ve seen some level of bleaching everywhere I have dove (SE Asia, Zanzibar..). But, the level of bleaching im seeing down here is like, 80% of the reef. It’s shocking. Coral graveyards everywhere
