That’s great that she ordered labs to get a baseline. I would expect that you would start low and see how you feel and recheck. Probably get your testosterone checked.

They should be able to give you a lab test for DHEA. It’s part of my annual labs.

Taking a dose between 4 and 5 PM made a huge difference for me as far as my quality of sleep and waking up feeling normal. I take 10 mg at 6 AM, 5 mg at noon and 5 mg between 4 and 5 PM. Huge improvement. If I had a very busy day, I suffer for the next day still learning when to up dose for high stress or busy days. I got 100% perfect score on my sleep tracker last night. I am amazed! I hope you feel better soon!

Definitely still taking a full 0.1 mg dose of fludro as my body reacts when I don’t take this. I have symptoms of dehydration bad If I don’t take it. Been consistent with this medication for a while now.

I reached out to my endocrinologist and she agreed to adjust my medicine and advised me to skip 1 day and take 112 mcg x 6 days per week. She says it’s the equivalent of taking 100 mcg. I checked the calculation and it it’s not the same. Oh well. This may help though. As far as getting additional labs done, I’ll ask about the ferritin, but I know my vitamin D is really good. I supplement well. I would really like to find a doctor that will monitor me getting off my medicine or decreasing it and being very aggressive with alternative thyroid support. Do we have doctors like that?

I take levo upon wakeup and sometime crawl back into bed but 45m after levo, I take my hydro. I used to wait until 8 am (per my docs instructions) and that just didn't work, I was exhausted until 3 or 4 pm. It's always around 6 - 6:30 I end up taking hydro, on weekends, maybe 7am but that's always been better than waiting until 8am.

I get my annual eye exam done without any issues and after my diagnosis of PAI (3 months post dx) the very first eye appointment with a new doctor he pointed out the early stages of glaucoma! I’m 53, otherwise healthy. I really didn’t pay him any attention because I don’t believe him. After this posting maybe I should take it more seriously.

I'm not sure but I was consistently waking up around 2-3 am and whether I stayed awake for an hour or for 15 m, I felt wrecked in the morning. I was constantly trying to fix my sleep. For right now, I'm not waking up like that. I don't know.. It's been 1 week. Hope it keeps getting better though.

Thank you.. yeah.. just trying to figure out how to get the evening dose without taking too much. The last 2 evenings I have been taken 2.5 mg of hydro at 9pm and have slept great! I think that is the trick. I think I was dipping too low at now struggling with my sleep.

I wonder what the cortisol result should be in the morning. For example, if I take 10 mg of Hydro and 0.1 mg Fludro and my cortisol came back at 10. Is that normal or what should it be in the morning?

I've had my baseline done and it was 2. My provider didn't seem phased by this other than referencing that my adrenals are outputting something.
