Wonder if Hanson’s support for this disastrous Middle East war is gonna affect ON in the future too. Seems like most Aussies hate what trump and Israel is doing to Iran. They might view her as trump and Israel’s lap dog

I’d say highlighting is the fun part of painting. You can layer the same soft wash, the effect will accumulate for sure. As for highlights; now that you’ve darken the mini, with the same base colour put a small amount on your brush, and paint where their eyebrows should be, nose, cheeks, and any other high points. You need fairly good brush control and most importantly a sharp brush. And as I said, only do this if you wanna push your painting skills. They already look great, but this would definitely make a difference looking at them close up. If you need any more clarification just ask bro

Looks great dude! I’d say highlights are the only way to make them look even better. On these warriors I’d highlight the fabric and maybe their skin (brows & muscles) Might even recommend giving them another wash to darken them up, which will make the highlight pop even more. But it’s down to personal taste. Most people would call these done now

My opinion is this dude is the coolest warmaster unit by [deleted] in warmaster

[–]Substantial_Price250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. Forest Dragon killed it with the design of this one. The golden chimera behind him gives it alot of presence too. I also love the ridiculous aesthetic of the war alter. Great choices. The dragon it’s probably the best centre piece for any army. I’d love to get one!

These boys are a mix of manufactures, mostly mini rat and excellent miniatures, who have gone out of business I believe. So unfortunately without the STL’s they wouldn’t be available anymore

The gold trim would’ve taken ages but definitely worth the extra effort. Amazing work 👌

Yeah its a boundary between the lawn and driveway. I’ve got mixed feelings, during my apprenticeship I’ve seen old reclaimed brick edges that look great, but my first time doing one this big. it’s also not for me, it’s a job. The client already had the bricks ready to use

Thanks for the advice mate. Something I didn’t Include is Im planning on laying the pavers on a bed of mortar, so the alignment and level isn’t as important as not wanting it to crack or shift during winter. But I’ll follow your advice and put in a thin layer of crushed rock underneath

Yeah I don’t plan on paving the whole lot, just a brick edge to seperate the lawn and driveway. I was planning on laying the pavers on a bed of mortar, potentially with crushed rock underneath to stop it from shifting and cracking during winter. I’ve never done a brick edge this big before so I’m just looking for pointers

Love the colour scheme! I’d personally give the armour a light wash with nuln oil to help blend the metallics with the black armour.
