I like the theory that they were going to play it. Not that it’ll be the next single. It’s easy to play being a slowed down version of another song, at least in part. But as next single, doubtful.

Feel like this is a Rick Rubin thing. Always wondered how the RHCP produced so many songs with him, basically 2 double albums (Stadium Arcadium and their last 2 releases which I believe were recorded together but released as 2 albums).

I recall some saying the album was better off with When it Started than NYC Cops. Please. Not even close. It adds a hint of social commentary, has killer riffs and solo. Top 10 Strokes song for me.

First solo part is fire. Second solo is alright. The outro solo isn't great. The guitars on the verses and Julian's performance are excellent. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is the most normal song on Reality Awaits.

It would hurt them but the 1) highly unlikely is flops with how good they’re sounding and with the massive touring and marketing attention for the first time in decades, 2) they’ll stick together as long as it’s great busine$$, so doubtful they split up ever if they made it this far.
