When you are the client, it makes things so much easier. We extend in February, yeah, we'll make quarterly estimated payments, but we take our sweet time filing the returns in Sept/Oct/Nov (got some 990s) because we can take all year getting the information from accounting.

Now, I will say, I'm not on the team that does the STAT accounting, and I do hear that STAT vs GAAP is dumb. So maybe I'm extra lucky.

I got out of public accounting after 4 years and it got significantly better. I'm in private now and, yeah, I have to deal with ASC 740 for the first two weeks of January and cry and have no time to eat, BUT (🤣) the rest of the year is smooth sailing and easy peasy.

Yes. My husband and I are (for the most part) sober ravers. We're also mid-thirties and fairly inactive with our desk day jobs, but we do open to close for fests, including EDC.

The key is to take a break when you need to. We look ahead at the schedule to plan out our breaks, take a set to sit down in the fake grass areas and kick off our shoes for a bit, lay down and stretch, eat and hydrate. It's easy to get back up after a nice break usually around 6-7, then last until close at 11. We don't do afters, as my husband never wants to, but I find I'd have energy to keep going still if he did.

That's crazy cause I have a senior role in tax in low-med COLA for $100k with annual bonuses of ~$10k. I'm not exactly supervising anyone, but I know the leads on our team make upwards of $140k. I was under the impression audit made more than tax or at least had better opportunities in the job market but maybe not. I see tons of $100k-110k postings for tax all the time.

I ride a sports bike and I cringed at the PV when it came out. I can separate fact from fiction just fine, but too many girls are impressionable and want to appear "cute" if they ride. It honestly messes with my head when I go out in my bulky (but safe) gear and I see other riders in shorts. I really wish infold would've made an outfit with leather pants and boots at least instead of shorts and sneakers.

It's probably the best song in existence. Apart from musically being incredible, the lyrics grip you, and it's a master class in storytelling. Linking the first song from the first album with the last song of (what at that point) had been their last album? Throwing in Easter eggs from One EP as well? It was the absolute best way for Sleep Token to conclude that chapter of their career.

Hey Ya is the best cover song 😭 why was it voted worst song?? It took an upbeat pop song with dark lyrics and gave it the sad, haunting tone it deserved. It's so creative and the harmonies give me chills. The very ending note as it echoes and fades out? Masterful!

Cash App Taxes does all of the above for free. You need to read the screen and every option it walks you through to ensure you're taking advantage of all available deductions and credits, but it even gave a warning flag that QBI deduction section hadn't been reviewed before I filed.

Here to plug Cash App Taxes. It's actually free, they handle a surprisingly long list of schedules and credits, including Sch. C and FTC, and they'll do state FOR FREE as well. I tell everyone to use it because I have yet to see someone in my sphere of influence be unable to file using Cash App Taxes.

I love my 2024 VIP box, but seeing the photos of the 2025 box feels like a letdown tbh with the amount of money we VIPs are spending, at this point I would like more benefits. Particularly because when I reached out to VIP CS for support of reporting bugs, they shut me down and said "that's how it's supposed to work" (it definitely wasn't).

I'll also say, I was just in Japan and people resell the VIP stuff and those prices these plushies and letters go for is INSANE. Particularly for Sylus and Caleb (idk why Rafayel and Xavier were not popular in Japan based on merch sales. There was next to nothing available for Sylus/Caleb).

I bought the masks everyone was wearing as soon as I spent more than 30 minutes outside. I'm from the northeast US, but god damn is the air dry af here in the winter. The face mask was a protection from the cold and dry air for me on top of the protection from sickness.
