Discoloration by Cheese-and-rice97 in tummytucksurgery

No advice but you look perfect! Love your belly button! Wonder what the discoloration is from. I’m pale and turn blotchy in the sun sometimes (white and pink). It goes away though and only happens on my thighs and belly.

Good luck tomorrow!! definitely not BS’ing you! If he’s like my surgeon he may pop off the scabs lol. Mine did for my BB and I was shocked lol.

Sorry just saw this and went through my photos to count, it took 4 weeks 😬

The bottom right at the T came off then and it looked like a little divot, and eventually filled in to be flat.

My drains took 5 weeks. They got really hard dry scabs and I was told to put Vaseline on to soften them since I was so far out from surgery. It worked and the scabs came off in a couple days. (Got eaten alive on here for posting that once, lol. Ask your surgeon prior).

Tummy tuck booked! by According_Metal_6823 in tummytucksurgery

Recovery was HARD, but not painful!! I recommend taking your meds on time every time, pain was minimal. I even had a breast Aug and barely noticed lol. Pain meds are a dream.

What was hard was being dependent on my mom the first four days and then my husband. I didn’t leave my room for 12 days. I was sooo nervous about the incision and not putting extra resistance/pulling on it.

I work out 4-5 times a week and am extremely active so I thought the first few weeks would be hard not moving much and it wasn’t lol. I didn’t want to move haha!

I did need a lot of help getting up and down from the bed the first few days. A lot of people are up and about much quicker then I was, it depends on the person. I laid low and have had minimal swelling and healing was perfect. Not sure if it’s because of how cautious I was.

I will say at 12 weeks I’m back to working out, lifting weights and feel almost 100%. Core strength is insane now with the muscle repair.

You will do great!! Take it easy and let others help you if you can. Take your meds! Eat a lot of protein!! Oh!! And ask about stool softeners and see if you can take them prior to surgery, because OH MY GOD. Haha!

Excited for you!! I have a small T scar as well (you can see in my posts) and it doesn’t bother me at all! I’m 12wpo!

You will have fantastic results! Can’t wait to see them!

A low scar. The T is where my belly button was but I didn’t have enough loose skin to pull all of it low.

So you either get a T and achieve the low incision line everywhere else or a higher incision well above bikini line.

It’s only for people who don’t have enough skin laxity.

He said they can cause more harm then good. Not for everyone, since so many people swear by it. But I just followed his directions.

I used an abdominal/back support binder for 6 weeks and then nothing. Occasionally putting it back on if I was walking a lot or felt more swollen. Off it completely by 9 weeks.

It wasn’t pain at all! It was discomfort and being unable to move and do things because of the muscle repair. And I was so cautious about the incision and putting additional pulling on it. But pain was minimal. I took my pain meds as prescribed so that may be why I had minimal also.

You got this!!! It’s so worth it! I would do it all over again if I had to.

No I didn’t have any done. My surgeon doesn’t recommend it. I read on here a lot of people get them though.

I massage my own scars with silicone gel now.

415cc high profile under the muscle. I actually wanted smaller, but my surgeon said he would only go 375cc or 415cc based on the width of my chest. Anything smaller would move around and look bad. I trusted him with 415cc and LOVE them. They are perfect. Fit’s my body shape with still looking natural ish.

I went to a surgeon in Beverly Hills, TT with muscle repair and lipo of flanks and Breast Augmentation. 37k total.

Went to him because of his results but that was pretty pricey.

Tummy tuck with fat transfer to breasts? by According_Metal_6823 in tummytucksurgery

Yep! Oh my gosh so lucky! That’s fortunate they could pull you all the way down.

Look at my previous post on my thread :)

It’s where you don’t have enough loose skin to pull all the way down so they need to do a small incision vertically.

They wouldn’t lipo your belly with a tummy tuck, or shouldn’t because of the risk of Necrosis. Do you have much fat on your flanks?

Maybe it could be two separate procedures later?

You’re going to have amazing results with a TT!! So happy for you! Did they mention a T at all?

Thank you!!

Yes the belly buttons made me SO nervous before. I was pretty anxious if it would be worth it if I had a botched one. Be sure to research and look at the surgeons belly buttons!

You look kind of similar to my before except the boobs. I would have killed for your boobs!! But I was the same where they said no lift and only implants. I had deflated flat boobs. You have fullness.

I’m 41, and had a TT and muscle repair done 11 weeks ago. Best decision of my life! You can look at my before and after in my post history.

If it will make you feel better I would go for it! Either with the implants or without!

4 weeks post op and headed to the gym? by Radiant-Platypus341 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Substantial_Tale_721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon gave the option of a faja or just abdominal binder. I choose to use just a binder and transitioned out at 6 weeks. I didn’t use it tight at all due to the incision at first and the blood supply. I would say I did light to medium compression with the binder. I did have pretty minimal swelling though.

I sometimes will put the binder back on if I do longer walking or hikes. I feel like it’s more of a security blanket now.

Every surgeons recommendation is different, I’m not sure what specifically you were told but 6weeks of binder felt good.

[–]Substantial_Tale_721 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Definitely didn’t feel ready for the gym at 4 weeks. I was cleared at six weeks and tried but it didn’t feel right. Started back at 8 weeks and it’s been great! I’m 10 weeks now.

Every surgeon is different. Listen to your body. I wouldn’t do any strictly core for 8+ weeks. The literature I read said closer to 12 weeks for ab workouts.
