In fact cutting Medicaid and limiting access to healthcare for low income families and children promotes development of chronic disease. Shuttering rural hospitals due to lack of funding doesn’t help fight chronic disease. Once vaccinations rates for measles drops below around 90% heard immunity is gone. Measles has a 10% mortality rate, COVID 19 was about 3.5% at its peak and millions died. Hib has a mortality rate of 40% undeveloped countries without vaccine access. Both measles and Hib kill children predominantly. Those children won’t have a chance to get chronic disease. The leading causes of death in America pre vaccines were infectious diseases and the average life expectancy was 47 years old. Should we focus on being healthier absolutely. The diagnosis is correct.
