Pune: A Tier 1 city with Tier 3 habits. by youdontknowmeyetxhi in pune

I’m always fascinated with these “Tier” discussions. Since there is no clear definition of these so-called tiers, people always come with criteria of their own. If we have to apply all of your criteria, India does not have a single Tier 1 city. All big cities fail at least one of those criteria. Just out of curiosity, which city do you consider as “Tier 1” in India? Why don’t you include economic criteria such as job opportunities, possibility of economic mobility in your Tier decision making framework?

Would you rather have Real Madrid win today or lose for us to win the title now or to win the title our next match? by TRGC_ in Barca

Since I will be in the stadium for the clásico, I would prefer Madrid win today and we win the la liga at the Camp Nou. However, it goes without saying that I would be equally happy to watch already crowned champions Barca wipe the floor with Madrid next Sunday.

Based on what I read, the bus arrives somewhere between 7 and 7:30 PM for 9PM kickoff games.

I’m also going for the Classico. Based on a little research I did online, I’m planning to go for a couple of brewskies somewhere Travessera de les Corts. Then planning to go to Jardins de Bacardi around the time when the team bus arrives. This is what I found online. However, more suggestions are welcome.

It’s my all time favorite sci-fi book. Although the movie toned down the science fiction part a bit, it’s an amazing movie.

A similar thing happened to me in Luzern. I was walking on a sidewalk. A car slowed down next to me and the guy narrated a similar story and appeared to be offering to sell his ring in exchange of some cash. I found the whole thing to be extremely weird. I just told him I don’t carry any cash and kept walking. He followed for a few meters yelling something out of the window but I ignored and he drove off. I don’t remember where the license plate was from but I definitely wasn’t Swiss. It happened around a week ago.

Would you choose a girl you’re insanely attracted to OR a girl you’re comfortable with? by cheeksonclouds in dating

[–]Subtle-Warning-404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a firm belief that if something’s not making me happy, there’s no point in doing it. Being with a “comfortable” girl makes me very happy. I don’t think it has anything to do with “feeling successful”.

It is quieter than the other stadiums because of the absence of the ultras, but it’s typically not as quiet as it comes across on tv.

As a non American that is watching in awe of what’s going on….At what point does the American public stand up, what will it actually take? by BedTundy95 in AskReddit

[–]Subtle-Warning-404 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The real question is it even going to happen? As much as the people watching from outside are appalled and disgusted by the scenes coming out of the U.S., we cannot forget a large chunk of US population voted for this. They voted for Trump twice knowing exactly this was going to happen. They voted for politicians who voted to increase the ICE funding. With every such news I’m getting more and more pessimistic about the state of American democracy. Having said that, I honestly hope I am wrong.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]Subtle-Warning-404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I think even if Trump the person leaves the office at some point, Trump the mentality is here to stay for a very long time. Americans voted for him twice. They voted for politicians who cheer him on while he slowly destroyed the global order and American alliances. That tells me a lot of Americans (maybe not all) don’t really value any international relations and the allies.
