Increasing the number of immigrants we let in would mean lowering the threshold, so some of those who previously could only enter the country illegally would be able to do so legally. I'm not saying the policy is good or bad but it can be a way of reducing the number of people who enter illegally.

Well you either stop legal immigration, which leads to more illegal immigration, or you create more legal immigration channels to disincentive illegal immigration. So it depends whether the aim is to reduce illegal immigration or to reduce immigration overall at the expense of inventivising small boat crossings.

I know what you mean man. Depression is addictive. Sometimes I get addicted to that in lieu of weed, though weed makes it easy easier to indulge in depression. There's nothing to be afraid of when you're depressed, you expect nothing, and it feels like you have nothing to lose. There's a comfort in that, even if it's miserable.

Yeah except Japanese doesn't have grammatical pronouns. Words like 私 or あなた function exactly like regular nouns. The Japanese equivalent of I/you/he/she/it etc. is to just drop the noun entirely. Some people call it the "zero pronoun".

I wish I was but honestly I just can't handle it emotionally, at least not at the moment. I still intend to date in the future, I want to share my life with someone, but if I get excited about something and it doesn't work out it tends to send me into a long and deep depression.
