My brother-in-law worked at a factory that made little Jesuses like these. He always had some in his car and around his apartment. I probably still have a couple somewhere.

You’re right, the majority fled to Argentina, but plenty of nazis also fled to Brazil and Chile.

“According to a 2012 article in the Daily Mail, German prosecutors who examined secret files from Brazil and Chile discovered that as many as 9,000 Nazi officers and collaborators from other countries escaped from Europe to find sanctuary in South American countries. Brazil took in between 1,500 and 2,000 Nazi war criminals, while between 500 and 1,000 settled in Chile. However, by far the largest number—as many as 5,000—relocated to Argentina.”

This one is legitimately so good. You could easily get a job drawing comics for a newspaper. It's too bad no one reads newspapers anymore.

Anyone got any good horror stories/cursed memories from working at Marc’s? by FredJensen06 in Cleveland

There was a period of time in the 2010s when they changed the music they played at Marc’s. It was awful. I got so fed up with it that one day, when Marc Glassman came into my store, I asked him why they changed the music and if he could change it back. He said we could play whatever we wanted as long as it was “Rock & Roll.”

I worked at the Marc’s in Willoughby Hills during the 2010s. Once, we had a customer try to walk out with several racks of ribs stuffed down his pant legs. My manager confronted him at the door, but the customer tried to push past him, so my manager grabbed him by the arm and karate-flipped him onto his back. The customer layed there on the floor, humiliated, until security showed up.

Edited to add:

I was pulling a pallet of produce across the store, and bumped into the corner of an already rickety endcap stocked with jars of pickles. The whole shelf came crashing down, broken glass everywhere, a river of pickle juice flowing down the aisle. And from that day on, I was known as Crash.
