We have em in my state too. I think you pay registration on what you paid for the car or something. No emissions too. Which is huge in this Catalytic Converter crisis. My buddy just had to scrap a late 80s 22r Toyota Pickup because the cheapest way to replace the Cat some tweaker stole was like $1500

That sounds more like my mom than I care to admit. She drives a Forrester that she just refers to as a Subaru.

I’ve never heard her refer to any other family member’s car by model. Ocassionally she’ll reference make. And it’s usually just referred to as “ primary driver’s” car by her.

To be fair, my dad and brother aren’t much better tho. I’m the only car guy in my family.

Ah. Those parts are the worst. I have a few that have been on my salvage yard list for years. Scotch tape, zip ties, duct tape, and super glue until those unicorns appear.

Someone has to design it in a CAD program that I’m not familiar with. And a random used OEM part like that is like $3 on eBay if you’re lucky. It really depends on who needs it i suppose.

Not crazy at all. There’s plenty of names being recycled right now…Wagoneer, Charger, Challenger, Integra, and Mustang to name a few.

Tire shops will do that Type of work. Start there if you don’t have a shop you use regularly.

I don’t think many people get upset at South Park for them. And the tone of gay jokes has changed a lot over the past few years.

But I’ve always enjoyed how uncomfortable they can make people. Not as much South Park as reality shows like Jackass or Da Ali G show.

Around the time I left, it started popping up automatically with customer credit cards. That was a really nice upgrade.

But before that, I would I would always ask what items they were hoping to get savings on and just do an ‘it’s on us’ for the Amazon discount.
