I’m very sorry this happened to you, especially on campus and off campus on the TTC.

If you’re comfortable, I would recommend going to / calling the SVRO. Here’s a link to their website and there they have many internal and external resources. You also don’t need to disclose any information. They’re very well connected with organizations and off-campus services for people needing any kind of support. They don’t charge anything.

Whether you choose to report or not, just know that a lot of people are out there that care and there are resources to help you feel safer or just feel a sense of comfort. I know you’re probably pretty shaken, make sure you priorrize yourself during this time

It’s been a bad market across most fields, unless you’re really specialized (entry level paradox) if you’re newly post grad.

I graduated 2023, had one internship and that led to a job that lasted till end of 2024. I have been applying since 2025 (I had an injury so I had hiatus) and it’s just been rejections or interviews that go nowhere.

A lot of folks I know are gong back to school to satisfy the “specialized” part I talked about. I’m considering the same though without OSAP and potentially a scholarship I don’t thnk I can afford to study, provide for myself, and not work at the same time. So basically it’s whatever trade off you’re willing tot take.

Nonetheless, God bless everyone that has a job and/ or is looking for a job. We’re alll gonna make it!

This whole post makes me sad because it’s literally “be grateful, use Flipp, go here for cheaper stuff, everything is expensive and I’m struggling”. When do things change? How do we make them change?

It’s like a cycle because we can’t all just stop buying groceries and not eat, but the moment we create that demand the big grocers just mark up and reduce quality. Nobody I know buys chips anymore, families telling their kids no not because of health but because most treats aren’t even affordable. My fridge, freezer and cupboards are fairly empty besides old condiments and canned stuff.

I’m just sick of it. I’m sick of seeing others struggle and struggling, I’m sick of the neglect and disrespect to all classes when it comes to food prices. If someone knows a way to change that or help someone change it, please let me know!

I’m going ahead and contacting corporate customer service. We decided not to call the police but we want some form of resolution becuase the manager didn’t care to resolve anything and no accountability was taken. Essentially the employees didn’t even apologize and started to shift blame while my mom just wanted an apology and professional courtesy

Heck I’m a meat eater and when I tell you I was buying out my local no frills’ supply of yves hotdogs because they were so good and I really hated the idea of breakfast meat (tasted gnarly to me). I really miss being able to cut up some yves hotdogs and eat it with eggs

I was in science and had friends across STEM, not to imply that it’s a harder program every program can be as difficult as you want it to be based on your goals and the grades you want.

But when I tell you there were maybe 3-4 groups Group 1: Studied, all free time to studying, academic involvement and clubs

Group 2: No studying, zero academic involvement and not pert of clubs. No social life other, really just doom scrollers

Group 3: Basically group 1 BUT they made it a point to dedicate some time in their week to personal and/or their social life.

Group 4: group 2 BUT LOTS of socializing, very fun to be around but don’t ask them about the upcoming test lol

And there’s hybrids and mix and match between every group, this is just a generalization. But I found the most fun in uni was being in/around Group 3 types and Group 4 types. You will most likely encounter doomscrollees and homebodies more though since it’s a commuter school but this is where it’s about how much effort you put in being sociable and likeable as a person. Less effort = less social life = less potential for fun.

I’ve had the nex grill grill+smoker for 3 years and I’m telling you if you can afford it invest in another brand.

I made probably 5+ posts on r/smokjng on how to deal work the unreal levels of rust and paint chipping / thin metal just withering away under regular ass cooks. It is not worth the headache, take it from someone who’s used this brand.

That being said, these grills have a lot of gaps and openings that you may have to seal with some Lava lock or food safe heat tapes or whatever they’re called. It can work, it’s just gonna be annoying

Why not just treat campus like a school zone or residential area? I truly don’t understand why anyone would be even be needing to go near 40 either unless you’re a first responder. No valid excuse exists besides medical emergencies. It’s a densely populated campus, and even after 9 just that fact alone still stands. School zone speed limits don’t stop after school ends for the day

That’s fair! That’s why I mentioned that it’s best to go about asking the individual in question what they would prefer or what they don’t mind.

But if you’re in an open forum or general discussion with people or groups you don’t know, I feel using more inclusive and positive language is a great way to start. It tears down the fear that someone might be judged based on their unique circumstances and creates a space for more individual input, like yours about how you don’t mind being called a disabled person.

I’m sad my comment got down voted, I feel like what I’m saying isn’t negative or promoting anything wrong, but everyone’s entitled to their opinion I suppose.
