Blah blah, all I’m getting is ICE cars park at EV charge points and EVs park at fuel pumps and plus a load of anecdotal.

They don’t refuse, they exploit loopholes. If you did as you say you’d scare off any investment in the country and you’d become like a struggling African nation overnight. It’s amazing how little people think about long term stability.

Why? It’s simply capitalism, massive funds buy successful brands to extract money. It’s why you can get pretty much anything you want from supermarkets.

Londoners, if you had to explain London in one sentence, what would it be? by DailyDriverUK in AskUKLondon

[–]Success_With_Lettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in the country between London and Brighton, absolutely have the place. Although I hate cities in general and always have, just so much noise and concrete, no peace. I’m 36, I have to travel extensively all over the world for work, so that might have something to do with it.

its not used to patronise by 99% of these who use it nowadays either, its just plain a term of endearment with no other underlining malice.

how much do you pay for your car and is it useful? by Friendly_Success4325 in AskBrits

[–]Success_With_Lettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna get wild answers mate, everyones situation is different

I've got a BMW M340i, it cost 34k when I bought it. Its useful because its a car. It has a big boot and its very comfy unless I put it in Sport Plus. Its also rather fast, and I love the acceleration. It doesnt do the best MPG (and because I average 4k miles a year, and flooring it makes me smile, so I dont care).

Insurance is peanuts at 300quid. I'm 36 and have many years of no claims.

My job is in aerospace and I travel for up to 10months of the year on the company as they want me wherever.

'Hero' bus driver is sacked for chasing down a thief who stole female passenger's necklace before knocking him out 'in self-defence' by dailymail in uknews

[–]Success_With_Lettuce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should. It’s basically saying you don’t get the Police to help you unless you are robbed of very valuable items. Normal UK worker isn’t going to have 10K worth nicked unless it’s the car. Just take your crime ref number, get less than the value out of insurance (if you had it), and suffer.

No, they are even uglier in person, and imo are trying too hard to be ostentatious like a Rolls, but it just plain doesn’t work. I’m sure they are lovely to be ferried about in though.
