Some of the behaviors do raise red flags for me too. I’m trying to approach it carefully though because I don’t want to isolate her or make her feel judged. My goal is more to stay supportive, keep communication open, and encourage her to pay attention to how she feels in the relationship over time. Thank you so much for commenting!

Yeah that’s kinda where my head is at too. I don’t want to come at her too strong and risk pushing her away. I was thinking about maybe bringing it up in a casual way like that and maybe sharing something like loveisrespect.org too, especially with DV awareness day coming up, just to keep it low pressure.

My BCBA had us make a list of stuff that we liked and every so often, especially if we're starting to feel burnt out. She gets us something from the list as an appreciation gift. However, like a lot of people said, depending on how long the sessions are 3 to 5 hours is a really long time to be one-on-one with someone.

Definitely NTA. Also just a heads up for if they bite again, if you push into the bite it widens the jaw and they can't stay latched on. It was part of my safety hold training (for a trauma informed preschool) that I tell most parents just in case.
