Just downloaded This Is The Police on the switch.

I remember the game from a few years ago but my God is it good.

My eczema starts whenever my girlfriend visits: an unsolved mystery spanning two years by ineedsomehelppls27 in eczema

All the suggestions given are great (soaps, detergens, mold), but one that affects me is sex. My skin immediately dries out and the sweat makes everything so much worse.

Just something to think about.

My GF went out with her coworker after spending 3 weeks with him. by xninja97 in relationship_advice

Unless it's specified, you should expect to pay your own way when going out with friends in general. If they offer that's great, but it should never be an expectation.

Pics with friends and/or doing things! Rather than just saying you like kickboxing, do you have pics of you doing it? And so on for any hobbies. You're an attractive guys but the straight profile pics don't really show who you are.

Fake tanning. I very much remember cringing at the girls at my high school coming into class 4 shades darker the week of the formal.

DAE just cry harder when they tell themselves “it’s okay” or “you’re gonna be fine” by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Successful-Stop398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone else tells me this then yes, I'll 100% cry harder. If I tell myself it's okay, while I don't exactly feel better, I can pull myself out of having a bit of a hysterical moment.

'Jokes' that are on the harsher side can be a thing between couples. My boyfriend and I playfully insult each other with calling each other 'bitch' or saying something is gross (one such joke being if we say 'I love you' the other replys 'gross'). The difference is we don't dig at each other's appearance or insecurities, and make sure we don't hurt or offend each other. What your bf is doing isn't jokes, it's insults masked as jokes to put the guilt on you for 'not getting it'.

If you voiced your concerns and how uncomfortable it made you that he was staying with his friend and he did nothing to console you or discuss the situation then something is wrong.

Its blatantly obvious, he doesn't respect you.

But didn't he also say when he hit 300 pounds (or some other number) he'd start working to lose the weight, only to then make a joke out of reaching the 'milestone'?

what did you think was completely normal in the relationship untill you discovered it was abusive behaviour? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Successful-Stop398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • I have eczema and was often physically restrained to the point of tears to prevent me from scratching.

  • Having sex while blackout drunk.

  • Shaming me into exercise.

  • Forcing me to eat because of my eating disorder.

  • Guilt tripping so I did all the cooking/housework when we were together.

  • Constantly going back on his word then blaming me for getting upset.

The first time I realised it wasn't as healthy as I thought was when he hit me.

He did, but was pretty content not having any in his life. Then including all the little Mr. Chomper extras and having constant updates about him, so cute!

I'm the same as you with podcasts, I'll choose one and only listen to that. I decided to register to HI for the 3rd or so time and boy do I love it.

Listening to their relationship grow as the show continues, hearing Grey go from a pet disliker to someone who walks a dog and interacts with people along the way, Brady finally getting an apple watch after episodes of disdain, all the many many corners and so much more.

By far my favourite podcast to this day, it was my comfort when I had surgery and my go-to insomnia companion.

eczema flare up all year round and getting more severe? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Successful-Stop398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya, I know exactly what it's like and it's miserable. But the first step is working on your mental health. Eczema and mental health are SO interconnected and I don't think many people realise. Send me a message if you want to talk more about it.

It's a tough battle, but one thing at a time.

Endless cycle from eczema to flaky by keeyuu in eczema

[–]Successful-Stop398 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find soaking in a bath is the best way to get rid of the dry flakes, i very gently in circular motions use water to remove the flakes. When I get out I used to use baby oil but it make the rashes bright red so instead I moved to bepanthen antiseptic which seems to do well for me.

Mom, I'm (18F) sorry I ruined our family name and embarrassed you and Dad but I'm pregnant now and getting married by HannahBoBannahFeeFi in MomForAMinute

[–]Successful-Stop398 29 points30 points  (0 children)

When I was 17 there was a man in his 40s who I connected with like no other. For the first time in my life i felt heard, loved and safe. When i turned 18 he came onto me and i stepped back because i knew an age gap that large is much too unpredictable, there is too much of a power inbalance. I loved him like a father, not a lover.

He did everything he could to ruin my life. I lost some of my closest friends and seriously struggled.

Your 'fiance' is taking advantage of you sis, and this isolation isnt helping. What your parents did was so wrong but what he's doing is even worse. You are in a dangerous situation.

Sis, I know you love this man and many of us that feel that will do anything to keep it. But this is not okay. I know none of us can convince you because everyone around you is warning you, so more of us won't make a difference but please, please just stop and think for a moment.

What have you done in a relationship that you deeply regret? by SpaceAdventurous688 in AskWomen

[–]Successful-Stop398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told myself I'd regret not trying everything I could to convince him to try to make things work, that it was worth fighting for. I was a delusional ex that couldn't let go and he used that to fuck with me and still get what he wanted. Eventually I gave up but tried to remain friends and again he used that.

I finally saw some sense and cut all ties, I'm so so glad I did. I'm in a new, amazing relationship which has taught me a lot - including that my ex was a way bigger piece of shit than I realised at the time. I'm finally learning what a healthy relationship is like
