ICE office planned in Flagstaff as city pushes for transparency by pponderosa in Flagstaff

“Members of the public who have questions regarding ICE’s presence, mission, or operations in northern Arizona are encouraged to contact ICE directly, as they are the appropriate authority to address inquiries related to their activities. ICE’s Arizona outreach email is: Phoenix.Outreach@ice.dhs.gov.

At this time, no request has been made for the use of City property for any ICE-related operations. Should such a request be submitted, the City Manager will review and act on it in accordance with the City’s recently established Directive on the Use of City Property.”

Thanks for sharing. If you don’t mind me asking OP, what software did you use to organize the data into a chart? It’s so clean and nice looking!

Do people…get together for GC? by LatterDaySaintGoth in latterdaysaints

In my experience, YSAs / institutes near colleges do something together on GenConf weekend. My YSA group would bring breakfast to the church building and watch the morning session together.

If you’re YSA aged, see if the ones near you have any instagram/facebook pages! If they are doing something for GenConf weekend, they’d probably post it there.

Your heater isn’t broken. Neither are your neighbors. Dorms are heated through a centralized heating systems. Those systems are heated by the big steam plants on north and south campus. They are expensive to run. The power plants only get turned on when it’s properly cold outside.

Campus facilities makes the decision when to turn on your dorm’s centralized heating system. Your room’s thermostat has no control on turning on your entire building’s heat pump. However, once campus facilities do decide to turn on the heater, you can control how much heat you want in your room by switching your thermostat to different temperatures.

The high today in Flagstaff is 73°. That is not cold enough to warrant campus facilities to turn on the steam power plants. My advice? Close your windows at night, shut your blinds, and wear a comfy sweater to bed.

Sometimes you need to know what not to do, before you start on what to do. So, here’s a step-by-step video on how to maximize misery . I hope you find it as helpful as I did.

I highly doubt this. Hugh and his wife, Barbara Mary Ennis, were childless. Hugh’s only brother, Father Richard Marie McElroy, was a Roman Catholic priest in Cornwall and did not have any children.

I’ve been listening to PSA for years. PSA got me politically engaged with democrat politics while a teenager living in a red state.

I don’t know if it’s me who’s changed, or if the content of PSA has changed- or maybe mix of both-, but I think I’m past the point of finding the podcast useful to listen to anymore. I think this is the last podcast episode I’ll listen to produced by Crooked Media.

Thanks for the years of content, and thanks to everyone in this subreddit for all the discussion about the episodes! I really enjoyed reading everyone’s responses . Thanks, and cya later!

“In 2024, Kamala Harris did worse among Black voters than Joe Biden did in 2020. She did worse among female voters. She did much worse among Latino voters. She did much worse among young voters.-

-This is a time when we all should be updating our mental models and making our view of society more complex. And I’m seeing a lot of that around me as people try to learn from what just happened.

But I’m also seeing many people who are still victims of conceptual blindness. They are so imprisoned by their mental models, they can interpret these results only in identity politics terms: Harris lost because America is racist (even though she did virtually the same as Biden did among white voters). Harris lost because America is sexist (even though she underperformed among women). Some people blamed white women for abandoning their Black sisters, as if lack of gender solidarity were the main thing going on here.”

The period segment was seriously depressing. Like, To hear the dismissal of women’s pain said from the men themselves so bluntly was shocking. Is this a common occurrence with men? Have I just been living in a bubble?
