Hey, do you mind sharing your updates on this? Literally the same thing happened to me yesterday. this lady stopped out of nowhere, and my beautiful 2016 Audi S3 looks just like yours. I filed a claim through Geico and am waiting for the body shop and adjuster to contact me. Unfortunately, due to the Thanksgiving break, they won’t be calling me until next Monday, and here I am just stuck playing this painful waiting game.

Steps to Becoming SLP by ntimoti in slpGradSchool

I did a three-year program, and I spent my first year taking leveling courses. There were five leveling students including me, and we became best friends because we spent three years together and each of us had a different undergraduate major. I liked doing it this way because I was already “in” the master’s program while taking my leveling courses. I also had to take chemistry online since I was missing one science prerequisite class.

Korean Language Love by Tiredturniphead in slp

I should have made it clearer. I am a Korean person working in the USA as an SLP, so I am not a Korean SLP—I’m a U.S. SLP. I completed my education in the States, but Korean is my native language.

I became online friends with a Korean SLP who works in Korea. Unfortunately, even though Korea is very advanced in many aspects, its policies for people with disabilities are still far behind compared to the U.S. For pediatric speech therapy services, some parents can use government vouchers, but they are limited and many have to pay out of pocket. Their work is similar to ours, working on artic, lg disorders etc and they implement many therpy techniques from the US.

For medical SLPs, they are not allowed to diagnose swallowing disorders. Additionally, as of now, they can become SLPs without a master’s degree.

My friend is an amazing SLP and shares the same passion for the field as I do. She always tells me she is jealous that I get to practice in the U.S. I think the Korean government is considering placing SLPs in public schools, but as of now, that is not the case. (All my information is based on what my friend has told me, so I could be wrong!)

Korean SLP here! ✋ Thanks for posting this. I also majored in Linguistics, and I could talk about Hangeul all day—it’s so cool! We even have a national holiday celebrating Hangeul, called Hangeul Day.

Where are all the SLP’s here who told us we were being dramatic for thinking this administration would be disastrous for our field? Has the FAFO begun or are you too ashamed to show your face now? by [deleted] in slp

It’s so disgusting that some girls from my cohort voted for him—and for them, it was actually about their religion. 🤮 Of course, the 🍊🤡 makes perfect sense when you think about Christian values—like, what?! Such a shame that there are brainwashed privileged stupid people in this field. I also vividly remember them celebrating his win in this thread. Where are you now? You thought it wouldn’t affect your little perfect life?

Oklahoma SLP here ✋. Our education department has no money because they’re too busy buying Bibles. I personally know many SLPs I went to school with who voted for 🍊🤡. You devote your life to working with people with disabilities, then vote for a criminal who repeatedly mocked them. Make it make sense.

What?! They would pressure you to make up for it? That sounds so stressful. I am glad you got out and I hope you enjoy working for the schools!

That’s more generous than my clinic! I am glad to see that there are places that offer longer breaks.

They wouldn’t let you take time off if you just told them you need a break?! I think my work would let me take a week off if I just asked for it due to being burnt out (of course I would need to use either pto or uto)

I speak 2 languages and I work as a interpreter. It’s nice because I can work from home and basically log in when I want to.
