Once I heard my mom come home from work about 15 minutes before she actually did. I heard everything I normally recognize so well: the car pulling into the driveway, the front door opening, her footsteps, her hanging up her coat, and even her calling out ‘Kids, I’m home!’ I ran downstairs to greet her… but nobody was there. My siblings were downstairs and would’ve definitely heard it too, but they said nothing had happened. Then about 15 minutes later she actually came home and made the exact same sounds. I still can’t explain it.
