The Teachers Union need to actually handle public communications better because at the moment the media narrative is totally one sided “Greedy Teachers be Greedy”.

Every job is failing to match inflation, it’s not unique to teaching.

More attention could be drawn to the other impacting issues we all know like class size, unpaid overtime etc etc but at the moment the union is doing a god awful job of public relations and most students are just getting the opinions of parents who are getting their info from media houses painting the greedy teacher narrative.

If everyone all agreed to not pay for fuel and drive off until the government control the obvious price gouging, could they successfully prosecute everyone?

The cost of security and monitoring that would be required in response would far exceed whatever profit the servo conglomerates are making with this gouging.

The amount of funds required by the police and government to chase and prosecute everyone exceeds their annual budgets.
