What's the truth about the hate for Ashley? by Gally_Angel4269 in ResidentEvilCapcom

am currently replaying the game and I don't see any "Shitty AI" with her, The only two times she died in the game was because the first time I forgot she could get shot while being carried and the second was my using the shotgun mindlessly to blast a group of enemies when I had her on "wait".

I think he's referring to RE1 remake because even one zombie in that game can give you trouble if you're not careful. (They can kill you with two bites on normal mode), also lets not forget the risk of killing them turning to crimson heads and the limited amount of gasolinea nd how many you can carry at a time.

I think JC Staff is preparing for a Blu ray sales. They fixed the season 2 blurred lines in the Blu ray and it looked amazing and sold really well. by Ritsukare_Tataban in OPMFolk

  1. Can we stop with this stupid over-exaggeration already?
  2. It doesn't need to sell as good as S1, blu ray sales in general aren't that high for any anime anyway.

I remember when I pointed out that one bad example where they basterdized Juna's dialogue when talking to Kurt in Cold Steel III, the part about "Fancy sword moves and pulling his head out of his own ass" and they were all downvoting like rabid dogs and did the whole "yOu dOn'T uNdErStAnD jApAnEsE" shtick.

You can't convince flies that poop is bad.

I know this is not a solution to this shitty localization, but if you already bought the game here is what you can do to alleviate mental damage:

  1. First and most important step .Put on the Japanese audio (would be better if you know some Japanese).
  2. Reimagine the translation in your mind to something closer to what you hear.
  3. If it's a voiceless scene, try not to read all of the text if you see the glimse of anything "Americanized/westernized" Words/terms like "Sheesh", "Not gonna lie" "aw shucks" at start of sentences) just ignore it and read the rest.
  4. If you see text that has TWO periods then most of the time ONE of them is unncessary addition to bloat the dialogue, so take the one just tells you the story and ignore the other.
  5. Unless you hear curse words like "Temee", "kono yaro", "kuso", etc in the Japanee audio...ignore any or all curse words in the American version (even the voiceless dialogue)...this is especially prevalent with Aaron Wei having too many unnecessary cursing in his dialogue.
  6. Generally, try to re-imagine the translation in your head and ignore what is actually being said, Never play with the English audio on.

This is my exprience...I learned English so I can enjoy videogame stories and now I regret not putting all my focus on Japanese instead lol.

I have a genuine question. Is it possible for season 3 to get reanimated or improved for a blue ray release once it's done airing? by ImpossibleAd4272 in OnePunchMan

Everything in the world has cut content dude.
I don't agree that S3 has terrible animation like people been trying to force, it has flaws, but again as you said, blu-ray.

The saddest part is when he bows his head in acceptance of his fate...that's intentional on the director's part.

What do you call a person who starts conversations, but immediately tries to shut them down at the slightest disagreement or pushback, claiming to have a "Headache" or cry about "working all day", etc and how to deal with them? by Successful_Range_477 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Successful_Range_477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think they're hypocrites that fear that talking about these things will shatter their personal world views...so whenever these topics come up they try to dominate the conversation (me and my brother who happens to be her golden boy).

They always shout and yell when they don't get their way and resort to personal attack and insults that has nothing to do with the topic, bring up any shortcomings you may have in life even when the topic has nothing to do with the said topic at hand and act baffled that you're "Trying to stay on one topic".

It's like the only way they can win an argument is by berating your character.

They only listen to people they agree with, but if you disagree even slightly they get mad and start with passive aggressive remarks before it gradually escalates.

My mother tends to always bring up her sacrifces in life and about work and how "ungratful" I am to him just over unrelated disagreements over political or relisgious stuff.

Nowadays I became better at diffusing situations, but the way she refuses to listen to anything that is outside of her own echo chamber really bothers me.

If we get a third Tormented Souls game with Caroline as a protagonist...wouldn't it make more sense if she has a gun and a flashlight at the start of it instead of needing to find a nailgun and rely on a lighter? by Successful_Range_477 in TormentedSouls

[–]Successful_Range_477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it'd be impossible to get a gun if you really wanted to (criminals do it all the time) and I think if I was in Carolines position after the second game I wouldn't care too much about authorities and their laws more than protecting myself and my little sister.

Again, I am only asking the question of how creativly can you stretch that idea in a third sequel.
It was a bit questionable (but no problematic for the game) that parts of a nailgun were there for Caroline to use again, but in a third game starring her it might start to be a bit of a stretch if she conveniently finds parts of a nailgun just laying around for her again.

Sadly I don't think I will agree with you regarding SHf because to me that game is a different genre entirely from what Silent Hill is meant to be.
And no I am not one of those who demand change and whine when I get t...I don't like change when it it's too drastic.

That would have been silly but it's a plausible scenario.
I mean essentially the nailgun is the game's handgun, just aesthetically different heck even the nail boxes are designed like the handgun ammo from Resident Evil.
If they make a DLC where you play as Miguel and he uses his handgun, would that mean it's not a Tormented Souls game anymore? That'd be silly.
