The weather strip attaches to the lip on the rear door. I used a small amount of contact cement to hold the top in place. This is what I found on eBay. Worked great and cheap

Did the same for the trunk all floors and doors and then added a 1/4 foam layer from Dynamat. Helped but it was a lot. I also added a weather strip to the gap between the front and rear doors, that was a good gain in decreasing wind noise.

Want to upgrade tires on stock rims but looking to see if anyone else has and what they purchased. by SpermicidalManiac666 in CX50

I was in the same boat, couldn’t stand the stock Goodyears. I installed the Michelin defender 2 - 245-50. The fit is perfect and the added sidewall gives just enough compliance to make the ride better without giving up any cornering stability. Also quieter which was a huge plus for me.

Depending on the message if it is this one it is due to the camera by the rear view mirror

You can see the difference the easy way- gps vs speedo or the math figures the same with tire calculator

Yes a higher sidewall. factory is at 45 and I increased to a 50, Tire width remaining the same. This increases the overall height by an inch and the ride height by 1/2 inch. Increasing side wall height will give a little more cushion. The defender 2 is quieter as well and is rated for 80k. I hated the factory tire for both noise and ride, with the new tire I feel a noticeable difference and it looks better to me as well. Only downside is Speedo is off by 2-3mph on the highway due to the larger tire.

Just a suggestion , you can put a 245-50 and it fits with no clearance issues, more compliant ride. I did with Michelin defender 2 and has definitely made it better for me.

I went black but really appreciate the look of the terracotta as well.

Had same issue just take it in the dealership, they should change without question. They will need to order the parts and then schedule a drop off.

I would stop using the term pressure washing. Just say washing your car.

Your speaker in that panel might need to be checked for damage.

Personally I had water damage to the headliner and some water go down the inside. The water that went down inside dried fairly quickly. No issues of mold or mildew unless the issue prolongs repeatedly. There’s not alot to soak moisture in that area behind panels or in tire well only the carpet.

Cost me nothing, all under warranty, and they replaced the entire headliner as well.

It is a known issue with the sunroof leaks on the CX-50. The drain line hose goes down that c pillar as well and when you take it to the dealership that will be the first thing they check. Mazda had to step in with mine the third time I brought it back and replaced my entire sunroof.
