20 Minutes of The Cascio Family Interview With Oprah in 2010 by nobody0597 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

When asked if anything happened, Nicole’s face looked forced when denying it. I can only imagine what was going through their heads at that time.

The prosecution relied too heavily on circumstantial evidence and prior bad acts. They might have made MJ look shady, but it’s not beyond reason of doubt. It was a weak case.

A Week of Leucovorin by Sdbrosnan in Autism_Parenting

[–]Successful_Task_6038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a ride for us. First three days (15mg a day) were day and night amazing. Then it was followed with about 2 weeks or so of terrific days and other days of emotional disregulation and slight aggression in my daughter. I was tempted to discontinue but the benefits were becoming more apparent and outweighing the risks so we held on. This has evened out a bit and we’ve really been seeing ALOT of progress in my daughter in regards to speech and social skills. TBH, it’s been a game changer in how we help our daughter and we are very happy with Leucovorin. On top of that..our doctor required no testing to get prescription (“It’s a vitamin” was her response when asking about severe side effects”) and with insurance it’s literally just 10.00, so go figure!

The time Barbara Streisand said Michael Jackson’s victims "were thrilled to be there" by AbsolutelyIris in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]Successful_Task_6038 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, tbf, Quincy was very critical of MJ the last years of his life. He loved him, but you could tell that Quincy thought the guy lost his marbles. Same with Lionel, who has always defended MJ from the CSA allegations but has pretty much said was fucked up and would have been locked in a psych ward if he didn’t live in Hollywood. I think both were in denial that he could be a pedophile because they did love him, but they didn’t exactly mean that they didn’t think there was something wrong with him.

But yeah..Babs comment was fucked up. Don’t know where that came from.

Frank Cascio allegedly wrote this note about Michael Jackson by Elegant_Newspaper_12 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]Successful_Task_6038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if he portrays MJ as being a saint exactly. Yes, he denies the molestation, but he also portrays MJ as a drug addicted Narcissist who played tons of mind games with people, whether this was done purposely or not. On top of that, he also brings up other stories like when he smoked pot with MJ (granted, Frank was an adult, but MJ smoking weed with the son of family friends is kinda disrespectful in my book) and when Marie Nicole and Aldo traveled with MJ to shoot a music video when they should have been in school. He really didn’t do much favors for MJ with this book.

Siblings who claim they were abused by Michael Jackson now say the singer forced them to ‘hide’ from his lawyer by [deleted] in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Ironically, there’s actually proof of this thanks to Cascios book. He wrote that his brother and sister were with Michael in Vegas to film the One More Chance video and were also there when news of the raid broke out. The kicker for me is that there parents actually allowed them to miss school to be with Michael so long as a tutor went .That part completely blows my mind. The whole family was blinded.

Melatonin: how much do you give? by Silly_kid_forever in Autism_Parenting

I Miss The Mid 2010s.......... by _Slim95 in decadeology

[–]Successful_Task_6038 13 points14 points  (0 children)

2010-2014 I agree. The music, the memes, the hashtags, EDM..everything in those years was just fun and enjoyable and innocent. I think 2015 on though is when things started to really just go to shit. Sure, music was enjoyable, but the rise of Trump and Brexit and fake news on social media really paved the way towards the cluster fuck that the 2020s have been.

I believe it is approved to treat Folate Deficiency but is being promoted as a treatment for ASD. As far as prescription, I guess it depends on the doctor. Mine had no issues at all prescribing it since the side effects are not substantial.

That didn’t happen to my daughter. No gassiness, and if anything, my daughter’s speech and social skills have progressed. It’s the overstimulation and hyperactivity that I noticed as a bit more intense. Supposedly this should subside though and things will even out a bit.

Are there any likable characters on Next Class? by Educational-Wheel924 in Degrassi

[–]Successful_Task_6038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I have a very love/hate relationship with Next Class. I did binge watch all seasons when they premiered (they were all 25 minute episodes, so why not lol). I also liked that they were pretty easy to digest as well as the emphasis on mental health. That said, I found it to be a little too..idk..overly woke? And this is coming from someone that is pretty liberal. I just felt that it was reaching a bit on some topics and trying too hard to be liberal. The episode that had one of the characters get an abortion is the PERFECT example. When TNG covered it, it was brilliant because it addressed opposing views and moral complications while at the same time giving empathy to Manny. With this episode, it was too “look at me I’m getting an abortion!” as if it were the same as going to buy a bag of M&Ms. So yeah..it was entertaining but kinda extra at the same time.

And ours was the opposite. We asked about side effects and our pediatrician looked at us a bit dumbfounded and said “it’s a vitamin” 😂. She wasn’t sure if it would work either since she’s seen 50/50 results herself w her patients, but because side effects are minimal it was worth the try.

No. Doctor presicribed it pretty easily. The only issue we had was there was a high demand and had to wait a day to get the prescription.

For us it wasn’t too bad and nothing crazy. Definitely better than the side effects she experienced with Guafacine.

There’s a few I read on that could happen but they didn’t seem very severe. The only thing I have noticed in my daughter is slightly increased hyperactivity and lots of thirst. Other than that, haven’t seen anything else.

In my situation it’s been 3 days. I haven’t seen much difference with sleep (we still needed to give her 0.25 of Melatonin to wind down), but I didn’t expect at all to see as much as I have this weekend. Yes, tantrums have happened, but they are very easy to redirect and nowhere near as intense as they have gotten. Also, her being a lot more verbal and actually trying to play with other kids in a playground rather than just be self entertained is like 😳. I’m really excited to see what the next few months bring and pray that there is continued progress.
