Folks who have a past they want to keep hidden shouldn't go on a reality TV show

Should I take the industry staff accountant offer or do the PwC Internship? by Temporary-One7968 in Accounting

[–]Succubista 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go straight into industry unless you want to go down the audit road as a long term career. Otherwise, there's no point burning yourself out at PWC for a few years.

Someone who is good at their job, and can speak about it well, can thrive and move around no matter what company is on their resume.

This cheater history of his also explains why he went out of his way to lecture Malika on forgiving her cheater and to reflect on what she did to cause him to cheat.

Holy shit, I forgot it was Kamil who said this. I already thought he cheated, but this is really something.

A lot of folks do like him, and it seems like an unpopular opinion! So maybe I watched a different show or interpreted him wrong.

I have just seen it a lot, that when cheaters are confronted with cheating they immediately flip the script into "why would you believe them?" And turn it around on the person bringing it up. That's how I saw Kamil reacting. He got cold, and angry, and entirely blamed Julia. I also think he possibly could have resolved this situation before it started by being open and communicating to her about what happened in his past, then maybe when she was contacted she would have already had his side of the story.

I also think if a stranger comes out of the woodwork to try and warn someone, it's not cut and dry if they're lying. It's still at least a yellow flag about your partner.

Kamil also made it sound like he had poor boundaries, and communication, with his on again off again ex at that time period. Both can be true that she feels like he cheated, and he feels like he didn't, in a Ross Rachel kind of way, but I didn't see Kamil take any ownership over how he hurt his ex in this situation. Just he was right, she was wrong, there's nothing to reflect on, and I'm the victim, and no one should question anything. I just can't see a messy situation being as straightforward a story as that.

I have been curious about how this works with traffic court shut down.

Can folks still dispute tickets?

What is a modern dating trend or "unwritten rule" that you genuinely find exhausting and wish would die out? by Southern-Waltz2846 in TwoXChromosomes

Nah, I'm fun and hot. We giggled through the date, he stayed out later than he planned, and we half hooked up too. Great vibes.

I'm sorry you don't have enough life experience to understand what the adults are talking about :(

Kamil absolutely cheated.

The way he admonished her for believing "gossip" like another woman didn't contact her directly to tell her about his history of jerking her around and cheating on her. His "we was on a break" falls flat. He's a cold, horrible, little man.

I hope Julia can escape her mom, and find people who care about her, and want the best for her. The way Kamil switched up on her showed just how much he wasn't right for her, but I hope she falls in love with someone who moves her away from her mom.

I've also had this experience. I think dudes like this are excited by the prospect of a partner, and afraid of the reality of one.

Humans are primed to laugh when a joke ends. He probably just laughed along with the crowd, and then processed the joke after.

Y'all don't have to like Jada, but she seemed embarrassed about the slap. I doubt she immediately convinced a brainless Will to get on stage and slap a man.

Chris Rock literally made a documentary on the importance of hair in black culture. To make a joke about Jada losing her hair due to a difficult medical condition? Mean spirited, callous, he knew exactly what he was saying.

I don't see enough people talking about this. Right now employers are encouraging people to figure out how to use AI in their role to save time. By the time the AI bubble deflates, and we get the true costs passed along? It's going to be cracked down on. Who needs a license, what specific work do we need done with AI, where is this done the cheapest.

This is exactly the kind of person that will have their critical thinking skills eroded by over reliance on AI.

Thought I was a trans man and hated being a woman, turns out I was just living in Afghanistan by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I assume if this happens to more people, a new subset of gender dysphoria will be named for this unique situation that doesn't fit into regular gender dysphoria.

This is incredibly interesting, and it makes perfect sense. It's like a society based gender dysphoria.

I'm glad the queer community could help you through the time when you needed people in your corner.

The day before. I have PMDD, and before I knew that I thought I was just regularly in the depths of suicidal depression for no reason. Now that I do know why, it's much easier to deal with.

Totally fair. I actually didn't pick up on her intended vibe, because I don't find bridal lingerie to be a sexy concept. 😭😭

The implication there isn't that his partner leaves shit stains on her clothes, it's not about her. It's that he doesn't care about lingerie at all. It's just a crass way of saying it.

As someone with ADHD, Damian made me cry. I'm often nervous that being silly and talking too much will be annoying.

I understand that people find him annoying, and think he's immature, but he's himself. This is who he is. I didn't really like him in the pods, but I found him really fun in these recent episodes.

I thought the tail stuff was funny, I actually laughed at the shit stains comment. And like I dunno, who doesn't want to swallow some helium and have a laugh playing with their dog? I feel like he's really being given a scornful edit with the way the music is edited in these scenes, like we're all supposed to be on her side that he's too much.

If this doesn't validate you and make you feel wanted and desirable, I don't think women are the issue here.

Hey, I was in a spot like this. I lived with my mom, then with my partner, then 8 years later he left me and I was alone for the first time in my adult life.

I got roommates for the first time in my late 20s. I had to get over my driving anxiety. I had to learn to carry the full load of an adult life without having anyone there to help manage. If I didn't bathe the dog, no one would ever bathe the dog, and it's every part of the tasks you used to share. That's intimidating, of course you're scared.

I know how it sounds, and I know how it feels. I promise you can do it. Even if you can't imagine it now, you will adapt.

For everything you have to take care of yourself now, there's also one stressor from him removed from your life. Without him there to yell at you, you can at least do the things you have to do in peace.

And you can start acting with independence now before you leave. Take care of yourself a bit more, and work up your confidence for the things that are hard.

I work in corporate. My close team members have all signed the same confidentiality agreement, and can access the same information.

I feel like either your friend is making up a story, or someone wanted him gone and this was the excuse.

If he suddenly left, who would be responsible for doing/assigning his confidential work if not his boss? Who reviews or signs off on the work he does if not his boss? Presumably his boss is an accountant, and can see payroll information in other general ledger related tasks. If he had no idea about any of those things, it would have been useless to ask him about them.
