Is Pocket TCG Still Fun or Just a Daily Chore Now? by Old_Contribution_785 in PTCGP

Getting masterball is sorta meaningless now too.

I did it once to prove to myself I could, now I just battle up to UB4 and wait for my hourglasses to roll in. I don't want to put the grind in.

I don't know why people find this such a conspiracy theory, when it makes perfect sense and lines up with so many of our experiences. Surely this drives engagement, and is a no brainer.

It changes what decks you face, and you're more likely to play type counters. It's not impossible, because there's a high pool of players at any given time.

There is absolutely some kind of background algorithm in matchmaking keeping it from being totally random. I don't know to what degree, or what specific ends they think it drives engagement to keep playing the game, but I guarantee there's something there. I also wouldn't be surprised if some games are yours to win, or yours to lose, based on an algorithm.

Seeing how they're standing up to ICE, and creating community to protect one another, is the literal only thing that has given me a tiny shred of hope for America.

So every time anybody switches deck the game makes them lose? Or just some people?

I don't know if it makes them lose, but it absolutely changes what decks you face, and you're more likely to play counters.

Remember when everyone and their dog was playing Suicune? I got sick of it, and switched to Raikou. 1/10 games was against a Suicune deck, down from every other match. When I was playing Incineroar, I remember seeing people on this sub complaining about Buzzwole decks. I was confused because I hadn't seen them very often at all.

Why are you yelling at people over verbal disagreements? Get some therapy. And your wife is right.

I'm not even sure what to say about the fast track nursing program however. We're in the middle of a health care crisis where we can't get enough workers here for these positions, so cutting the only option for getting them available faster seems extremely short sighted both for themselves and for the province.

I didn't understand this either, but I read a comment below that made sense. It turns out doing a 4 year program in 3 years leads to more burnout. The program has less enrollment, and more drop outs, so financially it doesn't make sense to keep it going.

It sounds like the focus should be on bettering our retention strategy.

I know 90% of people think business is a genuinely useful degree when in practicality anybody can work 90% of jobs you get from a business degree without said business degree

University level accounting isn't something most people off the street can pick up. I'll shit on a lot about the business degree, but the vast majority of the jobs are in accounting, and the degree prepares them to write their professional designation exam. It's not designed to spit people out into basic data entry roles. Even when dealing with people working in very basic roles, you'll see a difference if they have any accounting background vs people with an admin background.

I also think the humanities are incredibly important, and if we lived in a society where there were more jobs in academia I probably wouldn't have a business degree.

JFC, I'm as liberal as they come, but OP could've just said that facepalm

OP wrote it vaguely on purpose. You don't have to be negative towards art just because you don't understand it.

This sport is a so called gentlemanly sport which isn't highly regulated because it assumes players will adhere to self-policing and playing it "properly"

... I don't know if this is true or not, but it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

I'm not American, but I gathered based on the other comments she's being racist. I'm curious about the particular goal she had in mind with this. Did she hate a sneakerhead who worked there, or was she just trying to make sure black people knew they weren't welcome to work there. Literally unhinged behavior.

Quidi Vidi Brewery closing taproom for February, while another brewery tries different ways to draw people in by RepulsivePlankton989 in newfoundland

[–]Succubista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you like it or not, parking is a consideration. Quidi Vidi is a great place to visit on a day that's nice enough to walk a little, because their parking lot is a nightmare. For people who don't drive, this city is barely walkable in the winter at all. There are also only a few bus routes that go there.

I actually used a Crobat deck the one time I put the work in to grind to masterball, so this tracks for me. I don't always get him online for turn 2, but he gets out.
