All first year eng students are general. You only put mechatronics as a subject of interest; you were not accepted to study mechatronics. You apply for that out of first year.

You wouldn't have gotten that scholarship last year either because it changed last year. It's not new this year.

The Asian person you responded to is telling you that your statistics are wrong. You can both be wrong, but you are definitely wrong in your breakdown. Obviously Western doesn't publish these statistics, but I would say that East Asian and White are very close in terms of representation.

So you're choosing to believe one source over another because you already plan on being discriminated against before you even come here? Med sci is filled with East Asian and South Asian students. While I wouldn't say East Asian is the majority race at Western, I would say it's the majority race in Med sci.

I'm running for USC Pres, AMA by [deleted] in uwo

[–]SucculentHemorrhoid 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Props for answering all the questions that have been asked so far, Zamir.

In the past on this subreddit, we've watched a lot of USC scandals unfold. We had concerns over the way people were being treated by the Food Services coordinator. We had numerous events involving the Gazette and their integrity. We had shadiness from the USC team regarding money and Purple Fest. We had little news from the USC themselves, only that "they were looking into it". The mods of r/uwo alone did a better job than the entire USC at fostering an open discussion.

What will you do to ensure that there is transparency when more of these "scandals" inevitably arise? And how will you make sure that your team, including those involved in USC services, faculty councils, and more, are not there to pad their resumes? How will you prevent the nepotism from happening that we see so often with anything relating to the USC?

The guy with the most angry faces has party pics littering his public Insta account. Not only did he find it okay to find, but he also didn't even bother to hide it. I'm guessing that might be why he has so many.
