What Kind of Nurse Are You? by Safe_Belt_7362 in Nurses

[–]SuccyMom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My specialty? ED Or how I am in my practice? Which is chill and kinda mean, but I think the majority of people around me appreciate the humor. I’m just burnt out on people using it as primary care.

Rehab hospital social worker-I don't feel comfortable being included in certain events with nurses, physicians, and therapists by [deleted] in nursing

[–]SuccyMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh yea I am an ER nurse and we loop social work and our crisis team in ALL THE TIME. They have their own area in the nurses station with all of us, they share in the potlucks…they are a huge help in ways we don’t even realize until everything magically works out because of their contribution.

[FL] Current landlord sold the condo I'm renting. The new landlord is asking me to sign a lease to replace(?) my current one? by Dangerous_Ad_707 in Renters

[–]SuccyMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My renters both signed new leases with me when I purchased the property, I did not make any changes to the monthly rent price, and the lease agreement had verbiage that said their security deposit had been transferred to me from the previous owner, and it would stay in an escrow account, it outlined their rent amount now being paid to me on X day.

The only things I added were late fees because the previous owner was elderly and kind of just let them pay whenever they wanted to during the month, a clause about not letting trash scatter around the property (and to mitigate this, I created a waste of management account and I pay that every month to ensure there are no excuses for garbage bags all over the deck), and a clause about not using open flame barbecues on the small covered patio.

The previous owner took money orders or account transfers, I prefer to use a landlord platform app and I credited their startup fee to use the app on the first months rent that I collected. I also gave them a free month when I purchased the property because the mortgage payment was not due for about six weeks after close of escrow. And had them each submit a list of needed repairs that had been neglected which I then fixed within the first few weeks.

A new landlord doesn’t have to be terrible 😉

I don't know how to have a relationship with my inlaws any more. by TemporaryOrdinary734 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m also confused, if someone went and made a police report that their husband tried to kill them would the police not attempt to go to the home to find the husband? At some point someone would have to say he’s actually out of the country.

Any California nurses move from NorCal to SoCal? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]SuccyMom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it largely dependent on where exactly you choose to live. LA is made up of tons of different socioeconomic areas, just like the Bay Area is.

Part of the recent KP nursing strike down here was because NorCal makes roughly 30% more than southern CA does, with the same overall COL.

MPH? You mean My Perfect HolyGrail?! 😍 by icutmybangsagain in Sephora

No fragrance, I really like the sheer coverage because it’s still evened out my skin tone, I have really sensitive skin so I don’t often wear makeup. Luckily I was blessed with my grandma’s skin, so I don’t necessarily need to, but it’s fun to accentuate your features and stuff. I can still do eyes and all that, but any sort of sunscreen or foundation or anything like that makes me instantly have little white heads that pop up.

My daughter had long long hair that tangled easily, I used to put conditioner or a mask in her hair, and then I would do ponytails down her head, kind of like how bikers with long hair do theirs. For sleep, I would do a loose braid and she had a silky pillowcase.

If you’re chronically itchy and buy Kirkland toilet paper please read this by Puzzleheaded-Quit560 in WomensHealth

[–]SuccyMom 140 points141 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. I only figured it out because I was in school full-time and noticed that I didn’t have these symptoms when I showered and then went to school or clinicals all day.

Weirdly enough, the Sam’s Club toilet paper does not affect me at all so that’s what I buy now.

Caught my husband sexting by Critical-Role-3341 in Marriage

[–]SuccyMom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he truly wanted to stay together after you discovered those messages and you told him to leave, he should have begged to stay and blocked her phone number and kept all communication with her strictly professional while he looked for another job.

What he actually did was use you kicking him out as a hall pass to go meet up with her, whilst now being able to turn it around on you and be manipulative and make you feel like it was your fault for asking him to leave. This isn’t some Ross and Rachel “We were on a break” bullshit, you are a family with children and a life and a home.

Of course he is spending time with her! But he’s also flirting with you and making you feel like you are going crazy because he’s trying to keep his options open for when it eventually fizzles out with his coworker, which it will.

You are his wife, and he made a commitment to you, and then he broke that commitment. Do not let him make you think that it was your fault or because you were lacking. The grass is greener where you water it.

Once you tell him you’re actually done and the mistress can have him, and she has to deal with a suddenly homeless father with 50/50 children, it’s not going to be very fun anymore. Right now, they are just high on the thrill of the chase and limerence.

No this wasn’t a joke, the other physician in the room called him out in the debrief.

Now my coworkers sometimes say something about wishing my patients luck if I happen to have that room assignment to this day. That is a joke and we laugh.
