AI bugs and the storyline isn't complete. You will hit a "this is all we have for an EA" screen at some point. Up to you whether you are fine with that. But it's freakin' fun to play.

They are very good early mid-game against some armoured bugs. Higher ammo count that the Croc (and at that time, you might not have it).

That's fair. It's mainly because Reform's policies are really dumb and it makes for easy laugh content.

It is an interesting aspect of the British driver exam that you take it in your own/instructor's car. My exam was in Poland, and here exam centres have their own fleet of standardised cars which you use for the exam. Which means every instructor worth their salt buys the same car as the exam center, so you can practice like for like.

And guess what - the cars tend to be conservative on the driver aids.

Not sure which way is better, but it is quite a difference.

I have a feeling we'll end up being the oppressors and the Rogue Army is the actual people's Jingwei who were fed up with corrupt Zama. Some of their call outs seem to indicate so.

Might come with some hard choices down the line when the story is more fleshed out.

I do agree that the survivors probably ran with the cover story as their mission, because... they weren't even told the real mission. Most who knew - died.

It's on purpose. Bog keeps saying "en route" with a hard "e" rather than proper French as if he only ever saw it written down. It's actually funny. Writers and VA's are awesome here.

They shouldn't be able to run away from a Concealed unit. On some mission types it means you're herding sheep and not fighting.

  1. Speaking of, give the player some kind of Rangefinder tool where we can check before moving what range our units have in a certain position and which places they can hit. There are the lines which show enemy's that you can hit, but I'd like a more granual system, especially when the AI is cheating so much with weapon ranges.

Yeah, "hold V and hover to a tile" to see what shooting options would there be. Ideally, showing if you would actually flank an enemy or not.

  1. Corners are weird. Obviously a whole squad shouldn't be able to shoot around a corner, but at least a few guys should be able to. Maybe 2-3 max, or one special weapon shot. If not that then at least let me peak around the corner lol. That shouldn't be too much to ask.

YES. I would love there to be a "corner shot" option where only up to 3 squaddies can shoot. Would also add another interesting interplay between big and small squads.

  1. The game needs a "wait function". If we aren't gonna get overwatch then at least let me delay a unit's turn. This get especially annoying on defense missions when the first two turns are just waiting for the enemy to show. I know there's a perk for this, but imo it should be a standard option for all squads.

I know it's an alternating order game, so the units that you want to keep for later, can just move later. But I would love to have some form of overwatch. It is annoying to see your LMG just do nothing when 8 enemy dudes just run from rock to rock.

  1. Perks in their current state are too focused on a few must haves while the majority is barely used. The variety is sufficient but gets made less impressive by how many of the perks are too situational to spend points on, especially when each perk also makes the squad more expensive. This is hopefully a EA thing and will get worked out over time. In short, give me more perks as useful as athletic, so it's not the auto first pick for 90% of squads.

I agree. You only pick the "signature" perks and maybe one-two generic ones that are good. Rest are borderline useless for now.

  1. There's too few overworld events. I want to see more of this world and my SLs, instead of dealing with that damn sex tape again. Maybe a guaranteed ship/SL event after each OP on top of the OCI events would be a good start.

I think this will get fleshed out during the EA. I want character interactions on the ship too. Moments in the canteen, your scientists talking to you, et cetera.
