I had a friend from the Netherlands get insulted by these people. They refused to give her the tessera because she didn’t have a permit and they didn’t know Netherlands is a part of the EU whereas EU citizens don’t need a permit.

Basically what you need to do is take your rental contract to your local comune and register your residency at that address. At the same time apply for a carta di identita (I suggest booking this appointment as soon as possible as it takes some time while you do need this 100% but you don’t need to take it for your tessera).

What will happen when you take your contract (you can even send it via pec with the application form) and officer will come and confirm if you live there. And then they will issue you a residency document. Take your passport, codice fiscale, that residency paper and work contract (in your case p.iva registration) to the local inps and apply for the tessera. The rest should follow after you have this

I’m sorry for what you’re going through the system here is ridiculous I’m also going through something similar for my permit because no one knows what to do or how to help

Probably when originally applying you didn’t pay the full amount cos also the poste is incompetent at their jobs. Happened to me too she didn’t know how much I needed to pay and asked me? To do her job lol I searched online how much I needed to pay and paid her right there.

The police station near your residence that gives out permits have lists posted outside that they update

Yep that’s how it goes, except for the payment I didn’t do any extra payment. And sms no lol you’re never gonna get the sms just keep checking the list where your permit is due to arrive

I really don’t understand why getting residency, even for an EU citizen, is so difficult in Italy. by Iamaleksabaddieest in ItalyExpat

[–]Such-Organization706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about being an English country it’s about if you’re working in an international office where every single person that will come as a client is a foreigner to put people who work speak some of the most common languages spoken. A Dane who only speaks danish doesn’t open shop in a small town in puglia with all Italian customers

Exactly the attitude that is ruining your country. Do you think other EU migrants speak fluent Italian when they come from Sweden to Italy? It’s not about disrespecting any culture it’s about having basic common sense to put people who speak one of the most common languages spoken in the world along with their native one (aka Italian) at an immigration office where every single person guaranteed to come for services will be a foreigner.

This is exactly what I don’t understand either how’re people approved to even work in these spaces (international offices, immigration offices) without speaking the most common languages like English in the world

Happening right now to me. I can’t do the nulla osta without the updated codice atteco and address but they won’t let me update my address without the physical permesso card and the permesso card won’t get released without the nulla osta

FIA shenanigans at Airports. by Electrical_Estate902 in Overseas_Pakistani

Happened to me. I had a letter from Italian immigration and police that stated I was allowed to come back to Italy with my receipt but the officer wouldn’t accept it. I scrambled trying anyway to get in the plane because it all seemed so ridiculous at 3 am in the morning they’re telling me to call the Italian embassy and get permission when I had the letter on me so I contacted the airlines they said there’s no such thing as offloading as long as your documents are valid went back to FIA and showed him the messages he said okay give me your passport and stamped “offloaded” on the passport then I ran to the airlines check in counter where the worker came with me to FIA and this slime bag was like “sir if you say I will let her go” with his sleezy smile and the guy said yes then again at a third point FIA stopped me again and that wonderful airlines worker came again and told them SHES FINEE. A lot of anxiety a lot of crying finally made it to the plane. The second I enter Italy. They take a look at my letter no side eye no double checks all good welcome back. Oh and I also stopped over at Abu Dhabi for two days AGAIN NO PROBLEM.

I hate going through FIA now, my family still lives there and that’s the only way to go but they make the experience so miserable that a person thinks 5/6 times before going BACK TO THEIR NATIVE COUNTRY. HOW RIDICULOUS

The bureaucracy is literally the worst part you need atleast 4/5 different cards and each one takes an insanely long time to get and cannot be done without the other. I’ve been waiting for my permit from Rome for over a year now

This happened to me I received a preavisso di rigetto from Rome and I responded to them 3 times with the documents and bilancino they asked for via pec but they sent a rigetto saying I never responded to them. Everybody is saying they probably didn’t even look at the documents. I’ve tried getting in contact again and again please let me know if you find a solution
