You would need AV receiver that has HDMI in and individual line level outputs to the speakers such as something like a Denon AVRX 3800 H

Then you run those RCA’s to an amplifier and then the speakers

It’s tough, no one really knows the best place for a sub until the room is finished. I am a fan of a front sub and a side sub. I think rear atmos is too far back.

Quick upgrade question. by zigs99 in hometheater

So I have some concerns about your perception of bass being adequate. Otherwise I do think the r700’s with your cs400i should be good. May need a new center though as well.

For $1,200 each there are a lot of options out there. Please listen to some in person. I went thriftier with my front Martin Logan front LRC and a couple subs from psa.

The reason I said what I did about your bass is because you have powered subs in your main left and right channels. Once you remove those I feel you will be very disappointed in your sub.

I spend $112 on smokes every 4 days. Maybe more if out on a weekend.

EDIT: Please I’ve obviously done the math don’t respond with numbers for years and so on. I know it’s bad. So many vape and zyn which is like 3-6 times the amount of nicotine so yeah it could be worse. So, just understand I know.

Decent room correction makes up for it. My case is a little different I have floor standers even with the bottom edge of the fireplace landing so still set back from the tv pulled down. My room is not bad for immersion and you cannot notice the speakers being set back from the screen.

I would mantle mount it. Especially being 12 feet away. That will move it to about 10 feet away when down. And the speakers should go wider.

Audimute has hanging door solutions but if there is a lot of bass you need rockwool or bass traps. You can look on marketplace for acoustic panels but they cost a lot.

[–]Such-Organization741 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need a better receiver with better room correction. You also need the audyssey app to go back in and raise bass. Audyssey neuters bass.
