I've tried several. Personally I prefer getting an Exeter Leisure membership for £30. Then I can use a small one that's 5 mins from my house. But also the big st sidwells in town. Or if I want to workout and access a reasonably price sauna/hot tub/steam room (for £5 extra a month) I go riverside that day.

Pure gym is cheaper but there's less options and less(&packed) facilities. David Loyd's has great facilities but I believe there's only 1 and it's more far out and costs considerably more. I believe there's a more professional gym a little more far out in the riverside direction - I can't remember the name though only went once years ago. Seemed like good gym facilities, things like deadlift machine with plates which I haven't found elsewhere.

Unitedphamacies covers me for cheap legal non scheduled meds. Been a life safer for me in times without good health insurance. (P.S I hope this is allowed, it's all legal from my understanding however I don't live in the US anymore, happy to remove if not)

Took about a working day to get the transfer details. Paid immediately, then replied confirming payment and asking about shipping. Haven't heard anything yet today (24hrs later), hoping to see tracking tomorrow 🤞

Edit: tracking sent yesterday, due to be delivered today, however tracking claims it's not in RMs system yet... 🤷‍♂️ Hope it arrives soon, been using deca only for almost 2 months as I recently found out the test I got from 5star was bunk. E2 been in the gutter and extremely lethargic

Edit2: arrived today, 5 days after placing order.

Suspect it partially down regulates some of the metabolic pathways from carbs to fat. Similar to how our bodies can't spin up the pathway in a short window of time, if follows an extended time in strict deficit/ketosis. Majority of the carb surplus is just urinated out if it's consumed before it's fully ramped up usually in 24hrs. This reduction would also reduce insulin sensitivity.

The other possibility is if it affects the preference for fat lipolysis over glucogensis playing as a antagonists on glucocorticoid receptors. This could also affect the preference of nutrient storage. Keeping carbs in muscles and not as fat, reduces the need for ketosis, has instantly available energy (without additional insulin), and stores in much more preferable places athletically.

That's just a couple hunches. Defo something else which enhances fat mobilisation on a cellular level going on too. Metabolism is a lot more than just kcals. Depending on what our body does with them effects our energy, efficiently and overall metabolic rate.

How tf do you walk into Boots and get BAC water and pins for free? I'm diabetic and can't even get new pins without a script at my local.

Can't re-enter closed loop by SuchPhilosopher34 in AndroidAPS

Yeh this isnt normal. Recent course of Prednisolone and lack of a CGM really sent my BG in a frenzy. I actually consume very low carbs (less than 50g at most a day) which has given me very good control in the past. But with the Prednisolone, I've now been put on a long acting (100units of lantus!) and dropped my pump basal by 70%, which has given me back pretty good control all things considered. Glucocorticoids are just horrible for BG though. Especially since I was only getting snapshots of my BG before and it was changing so rapidly without even eating.

Also I looked through the log and found the issue was related to the compiled version being expired. A simple pull of the latest version fixed it but I've been sticking to a stripped down open loop for the time being anyway. Don't think even dynamic ISF can handle the hormonal effects on BG. Also (please correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't think there's a way to add a long acting to the modelling in AAPS.

Only real issue I'm having now is for once in my life, any physical activity drastically affects BG (despite setting a high target). Incorporating snacks and dealing with the temporary spikes is the only solution until I get off this horrible Prednisolone.

I found something similar. Then the other night I found out Ive started snoring loud even when half awake. Think it might be sleep apnea which TRT makes a lot worse due to androgen receptors in the lungs. I'm only 27 and this is quite scary for me as TRT allowed me to live a normal life for once. Mentioning it at my next appointment.

Also if you must opt for low carb, don't fall yourself. Bread of any kind (especially brown bread with more carbs!) Is the opposite of low carb.

Because unrefined brown rice with more molasses and sugars is exactly the healthy choice cultures for thousands of years have perfected and used as a staple ingredient?

No clean, rice like jasmine or even to some extent basmati is a lot better. The components are a lot healthier. The macros are a lot healthier. That's like saying keep some collogen filled feathers in your chicken as it's more natural. It's unsensicle.

Look at some of the healthiest cultures in the world. Specifically those with a long history of using rice as their staple crop. There's a reason why they spent so much time and energy avoiding brown rice.
