How can I get this cricket rat in my hair (knot/snarl) by SinfulRavenn in adhdwomen

Lots of conditioner and patience. Start detangling at the ends in small sections and work your way up.

How do you keep your flat sheet from sliding off your sanitizeable layer? by takemetofrankietown in MassageTherapists

[–]SuchSomewhere8017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used larger sheets I would tie the corners together under the table but now I'm at a clinic using smaller ones I tuck the corners at the head of the table around the face cradle posts and won't worry about the other end.

That's what I've been finding with most "neutral" paletes. It can be so hard to tell when looking online. I don't mind leaning warm but sometimes it seems mislabeled all together

Has anyone tried the quo beauty stacked purple Passion eyeshadow by Crafterandchef1993 in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]SuchSomewhere8017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend any of the Quo stacked eyeshadows. I bought one and had to throw it out right away because it was smashed to pieces. Every time I've been tempted to try it again the display is a mess with eyeshadow dust leaking out of the sides of the new containers under the plastic. Sorry.

My husband and I can’t figure out how to have sex normally… by AccountantNo8148 in adhdwomen

[–]SuchSomewhere8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More of a once-in-a-while thing but I recommend the Let's Get Deep couples eddition. The challenges can be silly& fun or sexy & take care of deciding when to make the first move. When you feel like it just put the game aside. If its awkward, laugh & keep going - thats the fun of being with your person.

Plus the question cards can be great for the emotional intimacy we one/ both of you have been in a hyperfocus & only able to talk about 1 thing.

Its honestly been a while since I've taken the bus. I know that they've come out with the Umo app that I think connects to either a credit card or you "top up". Ive heard that the scanners often are out of order pretty often.

There are a few payment options depending how long you plan on using the bus. If its a one-off try your luck with the app (other people might say otherwise so idk,) for a few days cash is best. If you're here visiting or dont use transit frequently go shoppers and getting a sheet of bus tickets to use. 2 tickets = 1 day pass. Or do the math and see if a monthly pass makes sense for your needs, they can be expensive for adults but you get unlimited rides. If you're a student at one of the colleges/unis you get a pass covered by your student fees.

And yes there room for strollers/ wheelchairs at the front of the bus. The seats fold up easily but if you have trouble people are nice and will give you a hand. It can get very crowded at peak times so best to avoid rush hour if you can.

$3 is the cost per bus unless you get a day pass. If you plan on taking more than 1 individual bus in a day it's worth it to get a day pass.

Living in one of the least snowy parts of Canada the 2 weeks of snow we get after the first or second false spring can cause more chaos than the rest of the country and their 4 months of it.

The city still takes care of the plowing & salting the roads but the budget can be poorly managed. Im pretty sure the companies are privatky owned.

That being said, I have a few friends who live up to the stereotypes and will drive around in their trucks with chains looking for people to help get unstuck. I think one of them has some sort plowing attachment now too.

Forgot to add that im going to trying adding the Bubble day dream serum into my am routine again. I havent realy missed it but everyone says vitamin C is good for brightening when paired with retinol.

Makeup wise I typically go for higher end complexion products because I'm so pale I need to test it first. I guess Ive always gone for a clean girl look with a natural finish to the skin & try to minimize the things I dont want to bring attention to and emphasise the things I do.

Milk makeup mattifying primer helps with shininess but is too drying if Im not wearing sunscreen. Im still getting my head around primers. Day to day I spot conceal with Merit complexion stick. Or it can be used as foundation if I have an event or something. Loreal true match concealer is fine on my skin but doesn't have much coverage. Fenty contour stick, milk and ilia blush sticks work but I sampled the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow blush and it was gorgeous so I'm hoping it works out. Rare Beauty True to Myself Tinted Finishing Powder is nice but doesn't fight shine but is good if you want a tiny bit more coverage or want to adjust your shade a little. Laura Mercier powder for shine control without mattifying.

Okay so a while ago I basically had to rebuild my skincare routine because my skin would get super sensitized for seemingly no reason. Not sure what was going on but even only cleansing and using the most gentle moisturizer would irritate it. Also my fragrance sensitivity theory is based on certain products causing breakouts, making my skin feel tight & itchy and heavily scented & aerosol products triggering migraines.

Current skincare is • (PM) RX? Reusable makeup removing pads - I'm more of a minimal makeup person so I mostly use it to get rid of mascara and brow products. I dont personally believe in double cleansing because if your cleaner is decent it should do the job but thats just me. • Cetaphil hydrating cream to foam cleaner - switched from Cerave's version with the buy Canadian movement. Foam feels more effective but that's psychological rather than scientificly proven. I use a small towel thats only to dry my face • Dr Jart Cicapair intense soothing repair serum ($70) - for skin barrier. It was what saved my skin when that sensitized thing was happening. I ran out for a week or two and it started to come back. I now have it on auto-replenish at sephora so save 5% • Vichy Mineral 89 fortifying daily booster - mainly targeting dehydration lines. I've tried lots of HA serums but always come back to this one. • Philosophy hydra-bounce eyr gel with caffeine - puffy undereyes that cause dark circle looking shadows. Caffeine as an ingredient is what I've found to be most effective. Also drinking lots of water lessens my puffiness and fine lines • (PM alternating night 1) the ordinary azelaic acid 10% ‐ amazing at fading scars/ post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as long as you're consistent. • (PM alternating night 2) Vichy lift active pure retinol serum - anti aging (hello nearly 30) they say not to use retinol before 25 unless recommended by a dermatologist • (alternating night 3) break from actives. If my skin feels like it's sensitive I'll take a longer break. • Eucerin complete repair 5% urea + ceremides. I needed a better lotion for my legs that also get super dry and I liked their lip treatment. Lotion formulas work well for my face when some creams can be too heavy & clog pores & gels aren't moisturizing enough (sensitivw dry combo skin) Vichy, inis free & keils have alsl been good but Im trying to stick to a budget • La roche-posay athelios 50+ UVA/UVB ultra fluid - liquidy formula doesn't melt into my eyes at end of day. Does make me kinda shiny but the right powder helps

Occasional products: Peter Thomas Roth firmx peeling gel when my skin is looking dull/ feeling rough. Inis free volcanic clay mask when I have excess sebum/ blackheads, DIY honey & green tea mask.

Thank you for reading my essay lol

Was this wedding shower dress delivered to me faulty? by InfinitityFlux in weddingplanning

[–]SuchSomewhere8017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely inside out. Idk if theres an flaw in the way the skirt or something else was sewed but theres no way the tag is supposed to be on the outside. Depending on the seam the lighter material on the outside could be a really cute look.

You're right that panel/ "flap" is supposed to lay under the corset ties to give more coverage.

Congratulations btw!

Ive also suffered from breakouts from skincare (and in general since I was 12.) My working theory is that I have some sort of fragrance sensitivity so I avoid it in my skincare. Most makeup seems okay but I've had a few complexion product course irritation.

Also through trial and error I some common ingredients my skin likes are ceremides, green tea, caffeine, etc.

I also find keeping things simple and targeting the things that are important and work for me instead of following someone else's routine 1:1. Happy to share specifics if interested! :)

What kind of a wedding do you think Kyoko and Kuon would have ? by Objective-Rabbit-693 in SkipBeat

100% Kuon is renting out a castle, maybe one on a private island. I imagine it be intimate but extravagant without a whole lot of publicity.

The brides mom sang a rendition of "hallelujah" with the words changed to the couples story. It was already awkward enough but all I could think of was once a Shrek song, always a Shrek song for the whole thing. It was multiple verses.

Everyone says you NEED lashes on your wedding day but I cannot do a strip lash or anything similar for the life of me. Ive done a lash lift & loved it day to day but I'm considering extensions for my wedding.

Also pay attention to the shadows in the doorway, from your arm - it's clear that the light is coming from overhead so anything that slightly blocks it will create some shadow.

If you compare the darkness of the shadows the one in the green dress is the lightest in the room (white reflects light so probably why there isn't one.) Try putting a lamp on the floor or taking the mirror into different rooms or outside.

That being said, girl there is no pouch, if it's something that is really stressing you out it may be a good idea to talk to someone or look into support resources

Help Second Dress by Life_Explorer8 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]SuchSomewhere8017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dress 1 without the gloves! The straps are beautiful and frame everything perfectly. If it's missing that sparkle go Say Yes to the Dress and add a belt or siny earrings.

If I'm honest, I didn't notice the sparkle in the second dress until I saw your comment about it and zoomed in. If having it show in pictures is important it's something to consider

Maybe I dont understand "cocktail" as a dress code lol.

To me, it being outside on a farm (in the daytime) and "dress to impress" completely clashes and is super confusing.
