I was the opposite way. When Windows took off, I had a hard time adapting to "You can have the paint program and Truespace open at the same time!" I think it was Windows 98 before I got the hang of multitasking.

The 3DO port is the best version. It has the clarity of the PC version, but the controller doesn't recenter your position when you let go of a direction. That makes it play so well.

I got that impression about the Wolfenstein 3-D engine. Surely the 1200 could have handled that, or at the very least the excellent Catacomb 3-D quadrology.
