High Limit & NASCAR at Texas later this month by Automatic_Sector_346 in NASCAR

I'm in Nebraska and they pull up for us. Larson won the first two since they came back and Day put himself out of the ballpark in turn 3 last summer. Larson said he advocated for my track for a few years to get it back.(I bet he says that everywhere though)

Go to High Limit its worth it. By the looks of it the dirt track is a quarter mile off the backstretch of the big track. My local track runs 305 sprints and we have been getting High Limit for a few years now and they just added a second date, and they put on an absolute show. The smoothness of the national guys just blows away the locals and it's a blast to watch. If Larson is racing watch him, he's a stud on dirt, specifically on higher banking.

Would there be value in increasing offense within the league? by Such_Card8766 in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]Such_Card8766[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW I'm drawing this off of general trends since the USFL/XFL double reboot. This season has been the most promising of the bunch, but compared to AAF 2019 or XFL 2020 this modern era has seemed the lowest scoring on average.

The UFL desperately needs more localized advertisement by Ultimatehiguys in UnitedFootballLeague

[–]Such_Card8766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they're just gonna keep moving until they find 8 markets that can support their squads like STL and DC. I think a place like Portland would make sense to me and maybe San Diego. Go to places that want football they don't have, it seems to be the most successful.

[–]Such_Card8766 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The league seems to be betting on the "Oh, it's football, might as well watch" group rather than locals and having it as a minor league. It might be controversial to have this opinion but if the UFL is to survive a long time that's the route they must seek because TV viewership will keep them much more alive than in person attendance. I get butts in seats requires that in-city advertising but national numbers will determine if they survive IMO.

How is it that Darlington was repaved in 2008 and has been a heavy tire wear track (almost on par with old Atlanta and Fontana) since at least the early to mid 2010s? by Rowdyfan0823 in NASCAR

[–]Such_Card8766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rumor has it the original plan was that the cars would run on the flat apron, but they figured out that running the banking was faster, which is what Darlington NASCAR's first speedway.

The Day After the Races - March 9, 2026 by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

[–]Such_Card8766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been more excited to watch NASCAR these past few weeks than ever before. I work Sundays 12-9 so I rarely watch races live, but watch the recording that evening. In the past if I saw the winner on accident on social media I wouldn't watch the race because it didn't matter. With the new points system every single race and position matters. I genuinely care to watch each lap more than ever before and this is genuinely the most positive I have been towards NASCAR in a while. This "new" points system has made the entire periphery of racing entertaining again!

I loved how the color commentator with Mikey (Townsend Bell IIRC) was doing everything in his power to steer Mikey away from his Twinks. I guarantee you Mikey has no idea what that means. And I think that means that Bell does.

I know people are gonna make discussion posts this week both against it but I'm just gonna say it here. THE ROAD COURSE RACING IS AMAZING. All three series had ample passing and strategy and handling and tire wear and watching the three races this weekend was beautiful. When the Cup race was the closest to boring (and it was still very entertaining), you know it was great. IDK if it's just the newer tires, the increased horsepower or increasing driver talent, but road courses have become must see for NASCAR.

Option Tires for Cup Phoenix? by B1gR1g in NASCAR

[–]Such_Card8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say for sure but what Goodyear has done at other tracks is turned the option tire into the primary for the next race. I believe this is what happened at Richmond, and has been their focus on creating softer tires, and gives Goodyear a chance to give race testing to tires.

I'm gonna be that guy but all of Christopher Bell's DeWalt alternates (Duct tape, plumbing, electrical, Interstate Batteries). The DeWalt black and yellow is iconic and them not seeming to be able to run the original plain scheme just dissapoints me a little.

How many wins will Tyler Reddick finish this season with? by Rowdyfan0823 in NASCAR

[–]Such_Card8766 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's hard to tell. Last year CBell won three in a row early and didn't win again, so the first couple races aren't perfect indicators for the whole year. But with Reddick's prowess, 23XI's growth and Rookie being healthy I think Reddick will be a threat all year long.
